SOURCE: No AM or FM yet cd player works

Friend,

Maybe, there is a problem from the detector of you radio function to the amplifier. Try to check on it first or try resoldering from the detector section

SOURCE: No sound from cd or aux on CDX-GT32W

Just connect together the solid blue wire on the main harness to the radio with the blue/striped wire. The blue wire is for the power antenna and the blue striped is for the remote amp. but if not connected together only the fm/am has outputs to the line output RCA jacks. I learned this through Sony's tech line and it works perfectly now.

SOURCE: Sony CDX-CA810X / CD-playback drops aux amplifier

Do you have the remote turn on lead hooked up to solid blue wire from the back of the deck? Your amp shoild be hooked up to Bluw w/ white strip as the solid blue wire shuts off when the tuner is off, its used only for the power antenna.

Use Blu w/ Wht strip for amps

Make sure that you have the antenna plugged in and if you have a power antenna make sure that you hook up the solid blue antenna wire behind on the radio harness to the power antenna wire from the car plug.

My sony xplod stereo is running weird.i installed an amp and ran a remote wire but when i play CD,s the stereo turns the amp off but turns on with tuner and aux.can u help

kinda sounds like you may have used your motorized antenna trigger wire as your remote wire to your amp. if you switch out of AM/FM, it is designed to lower the power antenna, when AM/FM is switched on, it raises the antenna.

I have a sony cdx-gt45ip wen playing a cd or using the tuner my sub works but wen using the aux all bas dissaperes, the sub still has power why is this happening ?

use the blue/white wire (amplifier remote turn on) to turn the amp on instead of the blue wire (power antenna remote turn on). the blue wire turns off when leaving tuner mode.

Yes, also.... I am trying to use my AUX input but "AUX" is not an option on the Source menu. The only options are tuner and CD.

In order to use the Aux, you must connect the source to aux port, then using the source select aux and you should hear the sound coming out.

Just bought a new car stereo (Sony XPlod CDXGT240)...Radio works fine....But the CD player will not play any sound...It reads the CD but there's no sound...

You have wired the amplifier turn-on wire to the power antenna wire by mistake.
The amplifier is turning off because it is losing the 12V signal in the power antenna wire when you go off the TUNER to CD.

Swap the blue wires, and you'll be set.

Aux jack over time seems to be faultering.

sounds like the soldering points on the jack are coming loose or shorted out. The stereo will have to be taken apart and checked out. You will most likely need a soldering iron to repair the problem
