We are unable to access the admin page of
HotBrick - VPN 1400/2. When we try to access the page we get ''request timed out error''. We have done a factory reset and it still does not work.

Are you able to reach the IP address from you machine if not check the reachability from your machine to the firewall. You shall do this by simple ping.

You may have some needed firewall ports blocked on your router. Turn off the firewall temporally and see if your able to connect. Your company IT folks should be able to tell you what ports they need open.
This error comes when there is same ip address in 2 computers. So make sure in networks there are not same ip address. You can also solve this issue with DHCP . Enable DHCP in router. For that Connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then you can access it with following default link. http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.1.1 If you are not able to access it with above ip then check your computers ip address gateway ip is your router ip try with it. Then it ask for user name and password. Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank. Then you can see configuration page of router. . You need to do a proper reset. Press and hold the reset button at the back of the router for 30 seconds then unplug the power. Wait for another 30 seconds then plug it back in.
verify first if the ip address of your router is 192.168.1.1 by going to start>run>type CMD>hit OK. On the command prompt, type ipconfig/all. Look for the ip address, make sure it is not on the 169.254.x.x range. Make sure it is on the 192.168.x.x, 172.16.x.x or 10.x.x.x range. What ever is on the default gateway, that is the ip address that you need to open on your browser. the address is not on the 192.168.x.x, 172.16.x.x or 10.x.x.x range, make sure you the physical connection checked first (modem goes to internet or WAN port and pc goes to LAN port) or if the connection is correct, you may wanna try turning off/on the router.
Either the router firmware was not for your system or the upgrade didn't take. If it just didn't take, you will have to reinstall the upgrade or reflash the upgrade manually. Your owners manual or the manufacturer's website should provide specific instructions on how to do this.
