You need to test all the components of the computer by elimanate them one by one until the computer shows signs of life. First check the processor heatsink and fan assembly and see if it is properly setting on the processor. Try removing all the components from the set up but the power supply and one stick of ram and the harddrive. See if the computer will turn on.If it does not start-up, tryreplacing the memory stick and see if it starts-up. Try replacing the harddrive and see if it starts-up.If not try replacing the power supply and see if it starts-up. if all this fails to start the computer, You will have to take the heatsinkand fan assembly off the processor and check to see if the processor is in good condition.Take it out of the socket and see if the pins are damaged or if the socket is damaged. If all this looks good. Reapply the thermal grease to the processor and heatsink fan assembly and reseat the heatsink and fan assembly. Check to see if the computer starts up. If not.Take out the motherboard and look for possible shorts to the computer case chassie. Check all the motherboard screws points and make sure they are not shorting somthing out on the case. Reinstall the motherboard and make sure all connections and connectors are good and fit tightly. If the computer still fails to start, Change the processor and retest the computer to see if it will start-up. If all this testing fails to get the computer started, you have a damaged motherboard and if it is still under warranty have it replaced. You must be very careful working on the computer and wear anti-static wrist bands and gloves if you have them to avoid discharging static electricty into the memory and processor units. Also you can damage the motherboard with a static discharge. You can check on the motherboard website and look in the frequently asked questions and troubleshooting section for you model motherboard and see if this is a known problem with a posted solution. If all this is over your head you should take the computer to a service center and have them test it for you. I hope this information helps you with your problem.
