Question about Refrigerators
I just moved into a home with a Kenmore refrigerator at the location. The freezer is equpt with an ice maker but i'm not sure how to operate it. Any help?
First, ensure that you have water connected to the intake tube at the back. The water filter needs to be checked also. It is in the cooling section(not the freezer), at the top. If it looks old or water does not flow, it will need replacing. Depending on the model, there is a switch inside the freeze section behind the ice tray. Turn that on, and ice should be available after a few hours. Some models don't have a switch, but a wire hanger, that needs to be in the down position for the ice maker to work.
