How to deactivate the demo mode on Miele w4840?

Activate: Press and hold REFRIGERATOR button, FREEZER button and CRUSHED ICE buttons

simultaneously for 3 seconds.

Deactivate: Press and hold REFRIGERATOR button, FREEZER button and CRUSHED ICE

buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds.

NOTE: In order to take the refrigerator out of demo mode, demo mode must be deactivated.
Unplugging the refrigerator will not deactivate demo mode.

I am assuming the timer display is showing "dE" . If you have the manual page 50 (programming) shows how to cancel demo mode. It is program P 0, currently it is set to "0" (demo mode), you need to change it to "1" (demo mode off).

Press and hold the Start/Stop button while switching the unit on with the On/Off switch.
As soon as the Start/Stop illumination ring lights constantly, after approx. 5 sec., release the Start/Stop button.
Immediately press and hold the Start/Stop button until the Demo-Mode is activated, approx. 4 seconds.
Demo-Program deactivation: Follow the instruction for Demo-Mode access above.

Demonstration Mode (Dealer Displays)
Initial requirements
- Switch off the machine.
- Close the door.


Note
Once you begin the access procedure, it must be completed within
10 seconds.


Accessing
1. Press and hold the Start Button while switching the unit on with
the On/Off Button.
2. As soon as the Start LED lights up, release the Start Button.
3. Immediately press and hold the Start Button, until the Start
LED turns off.
Deactivation
Repeat the accessing procedure.


Note
The Demonstration Mode is NOT deactivated when the power is
shut off with the On/Off Button, or by unplugging the appliance.

i just replaced rubber gasket on miele w4840 it took lots of patience! there is a retaining wire on spring on front part this is easily removed. next there is a light and water line about 11 o'clock take this apart and unhook water line in order to remove these from gasket. next there is a locking wire on right side at 9 o'clock. i was able to get a flat head screwdriver and loosen the screw you can open about 1 -1.5 inch at this point the rubber seal can be removed. you have to carefully (painstakingly) put the new seal on. make sure everything is lined up right before replacing the wires took me about an hour as the gasket is difficult to put on back part on drum

1. Unplug the washer
2. Tilt the machine forward about 45 degrees
3. Water will start pouring out from the base pan. Have some towels handy to clean up.
4. Put the machine back in its position
5. Plug it
7. You should be ready to go

Causes

- You may be using too much detergent. Try lesser amount next time.
- There is a leak. If using less detergent does not solve it and this message keeps coming back, then the leak needs to be investigated.

how do you fix machine when waterproof fault comes up even after draining machine?
