Question about Honeywell Ademco Alarm 6150rf Keypad Lk

Honeywell ADEMCO 6150RF keypad sporadic constant beeping

I have a Honeywell ADEMC 6150RF keypad/transceiver in my hope. The security system is not currently active but the keypad sporadically starts beeping, 01 flashes on the screen and the beeping only stops when I press 1 on the keypad. I just want to know how to stop the keypad from doing this seemingly random beeping altogether since the system is not active. Thank you for any help or guidance you can provide.

SOURCE: I have 3 ademco keypads on my system. The system

This means that the alarm panel's backup battery is either bad or not connected. These batteries provide power for the system in case of a power outage and are essential for a solid alarm system. Look inside your control panel box ( usually in the master bedroom closet ) and see if the battery connection is just off or if the battery is missing. If it is connected, it is probably too old and needs replacement. Contact your local alarm company and they can swap out your battery or provide one for you.

The low battery light will stop flashing when the new battery you just installed become fully charged. It will take some time for the new battery to become fully charged.

SOURCE: honeywell vista 20p FC error

If the keypad displays FC, that means that it is programmed to send alarms to a central station and a phone line isn't connected to the control panel. If you do not subscribe to monitoring services, it will have to be re-programmed. I can do that for you over the telephone if needed.
Thanx Mark Garrett

The system is not activated but the chime will not shut off, what code can I use to stop it???

First you need to check your wiring on the keypad and make sure its is the same as the control panel. If this is not done right strange things can happen.

How do I change battery in alarm system

Find the main box that has the alarm control board in it. This panel can have a 12v 4ah battery or a 12 7ah battery. Unplug the old one, plug in the new one. Make sure you put the black to black red to red it doesn't matter what order but if you do it backwards then you'll have to guy buy some small fuses. GIve it about 12-24 hours and it should clear from the keypad.
