I looked at info for 07 Pontiac G6 3.5L engine, the wiring diagram shows two crank sensors. I don't know which one your talking about?
A PM/permanent magnet sensor, two wires, there are notches cut in the crankshaft for the trigger. With a hall sensor, three wires, there may be a trigger behind the harmonic balancer?

you need to find the thin black wire in the firewall harness thats the trigger wire for the starter

If you cannot find wireing diagram,just have the saw unplugged and take one of the wires connected to the trigger off. Then by useing an ohm meter you can check for continuity.

You need to swap the two wires over to the coil
