Fix simplehuman soap dispenser

Solution!!!!! to Simplehuman sensor soap dispenser with blinking red light no despensing of soap and new batteries. Rinse out soap with hot water. Fill reservoir with hot tap water. Use bulb end of turkey baster. Place on reservoir to form a tight seal. Force air into reservoir. Which will force the hot water thru the system unclogging the thick soap. Repeat this several times till clear of soap. Then turn on the unit and flush thru the rest of the hot water using the sensor till comes out nicely. Then fill with a thinned out soap. Good luck

Won't dispense soap. Changed batteries twice,

Sometime the viscosity of the soap could be the culprit. If you had changed to a thicker soap sometimes those pumps can't handle it. Try a less viscous soap and lets see what happens. Good Luck PAL

My grohe soap dispenser won't pump out any soap.

If the soap dispenser is not pumping the soap then the soap is to thick. You need to then the soap down some so it will pump.

The soap dispenser on my price pfister kitchen faucet won't pump soap. It pumps, but no soap comes out.

Two things spell trouble for these poorly engineered units:water and thick soap...

Inside these pumps is a metal ball for
the check valve. any water in your soap
will corrode this ball, causing the pump
to lose it's prime...

Using soap thats too thick (like Dawn)
will cause the soap to harden around the moving parts and impede the pumping
action. Try a thinner soap, such as inexpensive pink hand soap.DO NOT
ADD WATER! (See above)

Hope this helps.

Soap doesn't dissolve

Possible problems:

1. Too much soap! For soft water use no more than 1 1/2 tablespoons.
Give dishes a good scrape and put them in. If you MUST prerinse dishes (and you shouldn't) drop down to about 1 TSP soap. Modern DW's use less water and soap is more concentrated.

2. Water not hot enough. Test water temp at kitchen faucet with thermometer. It should read at least 120 deg.

3. Our service guys recommend not using lipuid soap, only powder. I listen to them.

4. Broken control to soap door. If it is still closed after a cycle, ask for help from a service company.

I would try using a different soap or less of your current soap.
