I see that you are looking for a manual for you Frigidaire freezer, model# FFU17F5. I have successfully located a manual for your freezer. Hope this information proves to be helpful. If you have any more questions please don't hesitate to reconnect.
Try seaching on the internet for" 'your model' manual" (ie "???? manual" where ???? is to substituted for the actual model number of your freezer. You could also try the manufacturer's website. or search directly on eg http://kitchen.manualsonline.com/manuals/device/freezer.html I am sorry I can't be of help without the model number, often on the 'rating plate', a small metal sheet, which is itself often inside the freezer attached to the left wall as you look into it.
If you have freon lines running through your shelving, this is a manual defrost. If you have an evaporator fan motor blowing air in your freezer compartment this is a self defrosting model. Good Luck, Appliance Specialists
