If the photos were transferred from the internal memory of your camera to your card, you may be able to retrieve them with special software (even after the card is formatted).

I've had corrupted memory cards in the past and had some success with software like CardRecovery. This one has a free trial:

Old pictures show up fine but new pictures show up very darkkk

two reasons for this are possible:
1) you changed the exposure compensation by mistake to minus something... - see below - change it again to +- zero:

How do I clear pictures off the memory card?

The best way to remove all pictures from the memory card is to format it. This wipes all data from the card and prepares it for further use.

Without knowing the model of your K-M camera I can't give you the exact procedure for formatting the card, but there should be a command somewhere in the menu system, probably under "Setup".

Why does my dimage z3 memory card say card full?

Did you delete them on the computer or the camera? If they are safely on your computer, you can erase and optimize the card for the camera by going into the menu and finding "format"...follow the on-screen instructions.

My Konica Minolta Dimage A200 do no recognize the memory cards. Can anybody help e to solve this problem?

Format the cards in the camera. Make sure you download any pictures that might be on the cards first. Use a card reader if necessary.

Acccidentally pressed format instead of cancel...

YES, you have great chances as long as you act ASAP. Take a try of this digital camera photo recovery. Install it on your computer and connect your camera to make a free scan and recover the deleted items.

Remember
- DO NOT write anything back to your digital camera untill you recover the photos safely. Once the photos are overwritten, it is impossible to recover. Best regards.

Picture problem!!!

If you haven't formatted the card, the images can be retrieved using some software available on net. But these are not free software. The trial versions allow you to view the files, but you can't save them. Sandisk Rescue Pro is one such software. It usually comes free with Sandisk memory cards.

Put the camera in "Playback" mode. Bring up the menu. "Format" is the second option on Page 1 there. This Z6 review has screenshots:

System Error

My experience in this issue is that you should never put too much trust in an SD card :-/ It seems to me that all cards are prone to fail once in a while, and my best advice is to keep spare ones handy. A dedicated SD card reader is a good thing, too...
