There is no sound coming from the speakers, not even the bluetooth. The volume control on the steering wheel and the knob also doesn't work. The radio, cd & dvd player work fine.

So everything is coming on but you have no sound from anything? If that is the case you may want to check the amp fuse. The car has a factory amp i'm trying to remember i think it is in the trunk.Look in your owners manuel for the fuse box location. If the fuse is good then the factory amp may be bad.Or you may have a blown speaker that is showing a short and putting the amp into protect. If the amp and or speakers are bad i highly recommend just buying after market speakers/amp.The price for the factory equipment is very high and there labor rates even higher lol.Plus if properly installed you will noticed better sound from the after market stuff as long as you get brand name equipment.Go to a well trusted audio shop in your area they should be able to see if it is a speaker or amp problem if your fuses are all good. They should be able to test the impedance of the speakers at the amp for you and see what is going on.

Bose radio comes on but no sound in my 2004 chevy avalanche.Sometimes even with radio off you hear a popping sound come from speakers. thanks

First Visually check all your fuses. Does rig have amp for stereo by any chance? It sounds like amp is bad and/or fuse is blown. Amp is wired between radio and speakers, and a shorted amp would make crackling in speakers when radio is OFF

When the radio is on the sound comes out of all the speakers. when the cd player is on the sound only comes out of the sub woofer

are you running separate amps for the woofer and speakers??? sounds like you have the woofer amp being turned on be the amp remote wire (blue/white) and the speaker amp turned on with the power antenna remote wire (blue). if this is the case you need to use the blue/white to turn both amps on.

NO sound through the AMP even though the power light comes on

Not a fuse. First thing, to check your speaker (amp unplugged, of course), touch the + and - speaker connections to a 9V battery. If you don't hear a pop sound then your speaker is blown. Thus, no output sound. If speaker is OK, then the output IC is your problem.

No sound out of centre speaker

Make sure your amp is set to a channel which plays on all speakers (5.1).
If you have the amp set to "Stereo", it is only the frontspeakers and subwoofer which play sound.

No sound with the front speakers

Sound to headphones comes from the pre-amp stage of most units otherwise they wouldnt be able to handle the power output . 150 watts into your ears ouch lol .
So it sounds like your slave amp has gone down on one channel . a slave amp is the final output stage and the power stage to the speakers . to make sure it is the amp change your speakers over if the sound then works from the speakers that had been dead then its the amp and requires an engineer to check it out with the prospect of a new output IC or final stage / capacitor replacement

unskilled persons should not attempt to repair electronic equipment as it is unsafe to do so , and may cost you far more in the long run ?. Regards Vortash

it sounds like you pop the power Reg. transistor or one of the Amp. chips instide. Some Amps has a pic fuse inside on the main board its green very small shape like a tear drop with a wire comeing out both ends it would in a socket some times white or black.
