Manual is here. Doesn't look as if there are any safety interlocks in the drawings. Aha, there is a safety lock! It is good to read to the end :>) Page 23 states;
IF YOUR JUICER ISN'T WORKING
If the latch arm on the right side is not secure and properly in place the juicer's safety switch will not engage. Therefore, the juicer will not work. Assemble the juicer properly.
Unscrew the bottom cover to expose the electrical cord. Check voltage if coming from the electrical cord by using a tester.If there is power, look for a a thermistor or a fuse and test if it is broken.
flip it over and hit the reset button, if there is one. If not, then make sure that it is put together properly, mine will do the same thing if the pulp collector is on wrong. or if you overheat it, then let it set and try to reset it.... hope that helps.
I WOULD CALL OMEGA AT 717 561 1105. I REPLACED ONE ON AN OMEGA 1000 BY REMOVING BOTTOM OF JUICER TO VIEW LATCH ARM WHERE IT ATTACHES FROM INSIDE THE HOUSING. YOU CAN FIGURE IT OUT. IT HAS TO BE PRIED A LITTLE AND SLIPPED UP AND OUT.
LOOK UNDER WHERE YOU PUSH DOWN ON THE LATCH ARMS TO SECURE THE LID. ONE ONE SIDE THERE MAY BE A SMALL INTERLOCKING SWITCH WHICH WOULD PREVENT THE JUICER FROM RUNNING WITHOUT THE COVER LOCKED DOWN. USE A SMALL SCREW DRIVE TO CORRECT IF MISALIGNED. THE JUICER ALSO COMES WITH A 15 YEAR WARRANTY, SO OMEGA WILL FIX FOR FREE.
