475 Communicator does not Boot Up

When I power up my 475 a screen appears that says: "Attention The unit did not boot up properly. Please select one of the following: Retry, Reflash, Recover" but my touchscreen nor any of the buttons allow me to pick any of the options. Do you have any suggestions?

Downloaded Windows 10. Why is pc screen stuck on aotio setup?

Hi there, please try these steps and see if it resolves your issue.

  1. Select the Boot menu in the Aptio setup utility, select 'Launch CSM' and change to enable.
  2. Select the Security menu n the Aptio setup utility, select 'secure Boot Control' and change to disable.
  3. Select Save & Exit and press 'yes'.
  4. Hold down the power button until the unit switches power off completely.
  5. Switch back on and continually press the F9 button for about ten seconds; this should now allow the unit to boot up into the Windows Recovery menu.
  6. Select 'Advanced Start Up' and wait until the recovery menu appears.
  7. Select ' Advanced Options'.
  8. Select 'System Restore' and select a date prior to when the problem occurred.
This is for an Asus laptop but even of you are not using an Asus the troubleshooting should be the same. Courtesy of Microsoft customer support. Asus Laptop Stuck in Aptio Setup Utility

My asus desktop with windows vista will not start up. I keep getting a black screen that tells me reboot and select proper boot device or insert media? What is wrong?

It means your system is trying to boot from somewhere other than your hard drive. Make sure you don't have a CD in the CD/DvD Drive. Also when you boot your system pay close attention to which key it says you can hit to change the boot sequence or boot order and which key it says you can select to go into the Bios or Setup. Boot the system the go into the BIOS or Setup. Go to the tab that allows you to select your boot order. Make sure your Hard Drive is selected as the first boot device. Try rebooting after saving and making this change.

Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media

its basically telling you that your master hard drive with O/S installation cannot be found in the booting system...Check if your master HD is not corrupted and see if your O/S still exist or maybe wiped out..

What would cause my screen to not wanna come on?

Does the computer appear to boot up Ie. the Power and hard disk LED lights are on? If so you could have a back-light problem. For instructions on identifying the problem and fix, please follow my instruction on this link :-

Reboot and select proper boot device

Hi, ull need to check the boot device priority in ur BIOS which is accessable usualy by pressing the delete key at the start of the boot process. If everthing is correct there and yet it doesnt boot from ur hard disk, try changing it to boot from cd and check if it boots. If it does then i think either your hard disk is corrupted or your OS.
