Question about Epson Expression Premium XP-600 Small-in-One Inkjet Printer
Can anybody help please?,after installing setup cartridges the printer starts to initialize,half way through it makes a horrible clunking noise(like the print head carriage has moved across at too fast a speed ,then show up on display 'printer error, ERROR CODE 0xEA', anybody have any ideas or had the same problem and found a solution?,thanks
I had the same problem today. I opened the printer below the scan bed, where you install the ink cartridges and there was a piece of packaging material that got left in that while I unpacked. I removed that and the 0XEA error was gone. I was sure the problem was nothing to do with the cartridge installation as it was the initial setup of the printer and cartridge installation was the next step based on the user guide. I was getting this error on initialization after setting the region, date and time.

I had this too, on my unit it seemed that the cartridge caddy had a problem sliding all the way to the left. It got stuck and then issued this error message. I solved it by manually sliding the caddy to the left side applying firm pressure( but not breaking it ). After that it was able to slide by itself and completed the setup without any error messages.

I got this error when trying to complete step 2 of the printer setup which is setting the language to English. This is a brand new printer. It made kind of a grinding noise then the 0xEA error appears in the screen. To solve this, I opened the top of the printer as described in the Step 3 (installing the ink cartridges). There was a piece of blue tape holding the moving part to the right. Removed it and the problem no longer occurred.

I noticed packing materials where printer cartridges are loaded. The error got resolved after removing those. Thanks for the hep!

take a look at the back of your printer there should be a panell that comes off if you can take that pannel off look in there there is most likely paper stuck back there not allowing your printer to spool

SSC Utility has the latest version SSC Utility 4.30... This time it can now reset the Epson Stylus CX2900...
Download the latest version and Install it...
Select Installed Printer (EPSON Stylus CX2900 Series)
Under Printer Model
Select EPSON Stylus CX2800...

Go to printers and faxes, and uninstall the printer.

seems a case of carriage jam n needs servicing..
howevr, do it if ur printer is out of warranty and u r a professional..
check for loose/faulty carriage-belt and the drive-assembly..jammed/sticky cleanser-unit (esp the rubber, gears n base)..
also chance of defective/faulty photo/opto-coupler 'sensor(s)'..the diodes and resistors in dis section..
always better to hv professional supervision, contact ur system admin/vendor....

We have seen some success with this issue by following these instructions. Please try this procedure one more time using the instructions below.
Note: Also check that the ink cartridges and lids are pushed down fully.
- Turn the printer off, then disconnect the power and the interface cable. Open the cover and check for any torn or jammed paper and remove it.
- Reconnect the power cable and turn the printer back on.
- Press the Copy button and see if the unit responds.
If the issue persists, the hardware itself is malfunctioning and will require service
