Question about Computers & Internet
I have forgot my HP laptop password. It is an administrator account for Windows logon. What do I do to reset forgotten laptop password?
There are so many answers to this question.
Here, I will recommend you two common and universal password recovery tools,
Ophcrack and Windows Password Genius.
Ophcrack is a free Windows password cracker based on rainbow tables. It is a very efficient implementation of rainbow tables done by the inventors of the method. It comes with a Graphical User Interface and runs on multiple platforms.
Tips: The latest version of Ophcrack still couldn't recover Windows 8 password. If your HP computer is installed with Windows 7, you can consider taking this software into use.
Windows Password Genius is a powerful password recovery tool applied to Windows 8/7/Vista/XP and Windows server 2000/2003/2008/2012. Besides reset HP Windows 8 password, it also could add a new user for Windows 8 logon.
The above two password recovery tools suitable for different situations. According to the status of your HP computer, choose appropriate software to reset forgotten Windows 8 password for HP desktop or laptop.

Not sure if you got this sorted, but all i did as i couldn't remember my pasword and could only login using fingerprint
Right Click and select run as administrator
In the command window type NET USER XXXXX welcome01
Where XXXXXX is your user Name
This will force the change of password, and doesnt mess with Verisoft. Now to confirm it's worked go to
Select Change password
in old password type 'welcome01'
in new type which ever you require as your password, it will accept the change.
This worked for me 100%

Forgetting your Windows administrator login password. With no way to get into the system, you can’t even perform basic maintenance, let alone a thorough tune-up. Formatting is always an option, but we consider that a last resort. (Plus, guess who’s going to have to help reinstall all the programs lost after a wipe?) But all hope is not lost. There are a few ways to actually retrieve a lost Windows account password. Read on, and we’ll show you the light.
The first thing which you check if you forget login password. When we install Windows, it automatically creates an account "Administrator" and sets its password to blank. So if you have forget your user account password then try this:
Start system and when you see Windows Welcome screen / Login screen, press ctrl+alt+del keys twice and it'll show Classic Login box. Now type "Administrator" (without quotes) in Username and leave Password field blank. Now press Enter and you should be able to log in Windows.
Now you can reset your account password from "Control Panel -> User Accounts".
Same thing can be done using Safe Mode. In Safe Mode Windows will show this in-built Administrator account in Login screen.
There are a lot of Windows password revealers and crackers available, but we’ve found that Windows Password Recovery Tool is the most effective.:
Windows Password Recovery Tool is one of the easiest password recovery tools to use. It allows you to reset a user account password, including the Administrator password. It is also a relatively small download.

There are a lot of Windows password revealers and crackers available, but I’ve found that Windows Password Recovery Tool is the most effective.:
it not only supports XP, 2000, and NT, I have personally tested it with Vista Home Premium and Ultimate. It works perfectly to reset any local user account to a blank password
You can use the ISO to burn a boot CD. Follow these instructions:
1. Download ISO file from http://www.windowspasswordsrecovery.com Windows Password Recovery Tool
2. Burn to a CD using a CD burning tool such as Nero or Roxio or MagicISO
3. Insert CD into drive and reboot.
4. You may have to select an option in the BIOS to get the computer to boot from the CD.
Booting up and clearing a password takes a minute or two works like a charm.

You can start it in safe mode pressing the F8 key...it change between brands but must out there use f8... when you start in "safe mode" in the log in screen you will find your user name and the administrator one...normally the administrator don't have password, so you can log into it and there you have the permission to delete other users passwords...
If you don't found that option, there is an other option but you need to download it and burn it in a cd... Is called ERD Commander here is the link for it: http://rapidshare.com/files/113560492/ERD.Commander.2008.CrOwN.rar... the password for decompress it is:( munda ) when you have burned it, insert it in you cd drive> go to your computer bios>select boot priority>change it for boot from cd first...once you have done that press f10 and select the option yes to save your settings and restart your pc....then your computer will start with a wizard looking like windows xp...complete all the things that it request...when finally boots up>go to start menua and select system tools>locksmith and delete all the passwords that you want...that's it! restart without the cd in the drive and log in! "Hope it works for you"
