Question about Olympus SP600UZ Digital Camera

Open Question

Orange light flashing

When I tried taking a picture, the screen turned black and the orange light started to flash. And a beeping sound started. The camera lens then went in and out. It won't take pictures at all.

The problem you are describing is a problem with one of the chips in the camera that controls image processing. It seems to have failed and needs to be replaced. Following are the instructions to send your camera to Olympus for service.

SOURCE: The lens opens and makes a ticking sound but light stay orange

hi...The transmission system that moves the lens in and out has a problem with it's gears. There is most likely a gear or an actuator that has fallen out of alignment and is getting stuck at a certain point as the lens comes in/out.There is some disturbacnce of the lens arrangement that is preventing the lens from coming in/out.Any of these symptoms above could trigger the camera to shut itself off to protect itself from further damage. thank u rate me!!!

My Nikon 8700 will not take any pictures..when I turn it on a message comes on the screen that "speedlight is in the closed position". When trying to take a picture, it buzzes, and an orange light flashes...

Please try resetting the camera to factory defaults first, but it sounds as though it may be a mechanical problem with the flash linkage. You can also use the flash selection on the side
of the lens housing and select "No Flash" to see if the camera will take pictures then. Since you have an attachment for an external flash, that might be an avenue to help you still use your camera. Getting it repaired would be expensive.

It could be circuit, capacitor or the flash tube itself? Digital cameras are so cheap now that buy a new one is a good choice.

Since it sounds like an issue with the Power first try to release flea power.Disconnect the charger, remove battery, press and hold down the power button for 30 seconds.Reconnect the battery and charger.Turn on system and check if it turns on. For further help please check Dell Inspiron 1525 Manual. Also confirm if the light on the charger stays on,when connected to the system.

    Flashing Lights!!

The problem may be from the memory card, the memory card of the camera may have been damage, try to get a new memory card then see whether the problem will still occur. Since the memory card is damage, you won't be able to take any picture.

Casio Exilim z75 - unable to take pictures

Try shutting off your flash and see if it still does that. It sounds like you have a problem with your flash not charging correctly. You can try resetting the camera but I doubt if that will help. I would try just shutting the flash off and see if that would help.

    Camera not taking pictures

The camera may be trying to tell you that your flash is turned off in Auto mode, but to get a proper exposure you will need the flash turned on. Try turning the flash on and see if that works.

    Hope this helps!

    Pictures reddish or orange

Although normal room lights (tungsten lights) appear white to our eyes, their light is actually much "warmer" than daylight, giving a reddish or orange color to pictures. This happens with digital and film cameras. To prevent or lessen this reddish or orange color: If your digital camera has a selectable White Balance mode (check your camera's User's Guide) and you are not using the camera or external flash, set the White Balance mode for "Tungsten" light. If your pictures are reddish even when you use the camera flash or external flash, the room lighting is overpowering the flash. Try setting the White Balance mode for "Tungsten" and continue to use the flash. If your camera does not have a selectable White Balance mode, use the camera flash or external flash when taking pictures in lighting that makes your pictures turn out reddish or orange. If you can, turn down or turn off one of the room lights (without making the room too dark), or move your subject so that it is not being hit directly by the room lights. If you can, when taking pictures in the daytime, try opening any drapes that might be covering windows. Letting in natural daylight improves the color quality of the lighting.
