SOURCE: Honda FG100 Tiller - Tines wont move

I took the transmission apart and the gears were fine. The friction pads on the centrifugal clutch don't seem to make full contact with the drum. Does anyone know what the thickness of the friction pads are suppose to be? I used some belt dressing on the pads and got some movement on the tines. With no wear on the gears, I guess I'll be replacing the clutch.

SOURCE: need specs.for Honda rototiller motor

The cam to crankshaft.... the plastic gear has a dot that you can see. mark the tooth with a sharpie so you can see it visible. its a cicle on the cam gear. on the crankshaft the cylinder needs to be at top dead center so when you put it back in all the way to the top. on the gear there is a notch that you line up the tooth on the cam to the two on the crankshaft. Its easier if you take the flywheel off to put it together. Hope I made sense

SOURCE: I have a Honda mini tiller FG-100. Haven't used

You need to check your engine oil on a very level surface.

Its all too easy to over fill these engines with oil and the results can spell disaster if not rectified. On a level surface, with the machine level (not tipped forward) the oil should just be reaching the top of the threads for the bung. Any more than that and you have to much in.

This symptom can also be caused of incorrect storage .ie the machine being left on its side allowing oil to fill the exhaust box.

Check your oil level first then run the machine until the left over oil in the exhaust box has been burnt off. I would then advise either replacing the spark plug with a new one or cleaning your existing one and checking / replacing your air filter

The breather hose should pose no issue... but if there is the slightest leak in the fuel hose... it is much easier to pull air than it is to pull fuel... Replace the fuel hose. Honda Tiller revs and works for 30 seconds and then shuts down.

Hello. you have some gunk in the carburator. Get a can of starter fluid or carburator cleaner aerosol and a helper. Remove the air filter and start it up. Spray a little starter fluid into the air cleaner to keep it running for three or four minutes and the problem should clear. If it does not clear the carburator will have to be disassembled, cleaned and rebuilt. j.

Oil gushes out of air filter hole.

Oil normally comes out of the air filter area a little bit, but over time, once the oil rings start to wear, more and more oil comes out. So you can either have new oil rings replaced, or you can put in a crank ventillation valve in there and it often helps slow down the oil from entering

Honda FG100 tiller will not prime, filter replaced

Well if the unit has fuel than it should prime unless the primer bulb is damaged and unable to force air/gas through the line. This is definetly a fuel issue, I would remove both the line from the tank to the carb and carb to engine and clean them thoroughly.

When you press the bulb the carb should shoot gas from the unit when disconnected. If this isn't happening your clog is here. If it does eject gasoline than your clog is the clear line which sometimes collects sediment if the gas is poluted.

Honda GX25 HG110 mini tiller, tines won't turn.

Mine did the same thing....two things to check: 1) air cleaner, make sure that it is clean 2). gas filter in the gas tank. Take a short piece of wire and fish the black line out. On the end is a small fuel filter. After I flushed mine fuel filter out it ran fine.
