Make sure the load is even. If for example heavy towels are on on side and thinner clothes on the other, that would cause the knock.

This is caused by an unbalanced load. Stop the washer and redistribute the clothing evenly. The knocking will stop.

Loud banging noise during rinse

Most noises from a washing machine occur during the rinse or spin cycle. If you hear loud thumping during the spin, the load of clothes may have become unbalanced. Stop the washer and redistribute the clothes, then re-start it. Repeat these steps if necessary. This will solve your problem.
