Red X just means device is disabled. In order to enable the device click on the "+" on that particular device then right click on the device itself...then click on properties..look at the "device usage" box and click it to enable your device. that should be it..

No sound output device is installed

Check your Volume and make sure you do not have it on mute. If you installed the drivers then the volume must be muted. Right Click on the megaphone at the bottom right near the time and open the volume controls. Make sure there is nothing muted.

You can also get to the sound and audio volume controls by clicking Start/Control Panel and look for Audio or Sound.

NO Audio output divice is installed

if your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it
click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to sound,video and game controllers you might see a yellow question exclamation mark? ! or a red X Right click to reinstall drivers
click start control panel sounds and audio,volume,advanced,speakers make sure you have selected the
(((appropriate speakers))) also audio you will find 3 drop down lists make sure you have the correct settings there
also
click start control panel sounds and audio devices select advanced there might be a tick in the mute box untick it
if his does not fix the problem
click start control panel sounds and audio devices you can adjust the volume there also select speaker volume you can change your settings there you can also tick in the box place icon in taskbar for any further volume control settings you will need to right click on the volume icon system select adjust volume

click start control panel sounds and audio,volume,advanced,speakers select the appropriate speakers from the drop down list or navigate to the device manager scroll to system devices + to expand,system speaker right click properties then select use this device (enable) also you might check
the speakers plug/outlet is usually at the back of the computer you will have to open up the computer to check the lead attached to the rear of the input plug make sure the connection is good
try cleaning your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is no MOISTURE in the air line specifically around the sound card and the CPU central processing unit dust causes static to build up in a computer

No audio output device is installed.

If you believe that your unit has a sound card, then you simply install the drivers for the sound card. Otherwise you need to install a sound card.

Go to device manager and look for sound card

The sound device is software usually located on the mother bord install disk. else see what kind of sound the board takes and got to their , for instance realtec, sound company, web site and download the audio device and the driver , if you don't have the MB CD.

I guess your output is leaking and you are recording it again to the track.
