SOURCE: About my On Board Video Card
here is the manual if you need it http://dlsvr05.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/sock478/p4ge-mx/e1862_p4ge-mx.pdf although it sheds no light on the video memory issue. if you go into device manager, select the display adapter and right click on it for properties. you should see a "resources" tab which will give you the memory adresses allocated. You can change these although unfortunately I don't know what limits you can change them within for your board, usually they would be set to the maximum that the driver will use, but not always. If you fancy having a play be careful as you can really screw up your machine. Personally I would recommend getting a graphics card, you can find some pretty good cheap ones with memory expansion slots on, then your card can grow with the technology for a while. if it is an agp card then the aperture size settings would make a difference, not otherwise. Hope this helps :)
