Just need to know how to put in black ink in the z1300

Follow these steps on how to install the cartridge: 1. Make sure the printer is on. 2. Lift the access cover. The print cartridge carrier moves and stops at the loading position, unless the printer is busy. 3. Press down on the left cartridge carrier lever to raise the cartridge carrier lid. 4. Remove the used print cartridge(if you are replacing). Insert the new black cartridge in the left carrier. 5. Snap the lid closed.

Sometimes the ink cartridge carrier won't automatically move to its loading position even when the printer is on and the cover is open. Follow the steps below:

1. Unplug the printer from the power source.

2. With the cover open, hold the solid white strip that connects from the carrier assembly to the ink cartridge carrier and gently slide the cartridge carrier to the center of the printer.

3. Remove the used cartridge.

4. Load the new black cartridge. Close the cover.

5. Plug the printer back to the power source.

How to replace ink cartridge

1 Make sure the All-In-One is on. 2 Lift the scanner unit until the scanner support keeps it open. The print cartridge carrier moves and stops at the loading position unless the All-In-One is busy. 3 Grasp the tabs on the cartridge lids, and then lift the lids. 4 Remove the old cartridges. Store them in an air-tight container or dispose of them. 5 If you are installing new cartridges, remove the stickers and transparent tape from the bottom of the cartridges. 6 Insert the new cartridges. Make sure the black print cartridge is secure in the right carrier and the color cartridge is secure in the left carrier, and then snap the lids closed. 7 Lift the scanner unit and push the scanner support back while lowering the scanner unit until it is completely closed.

Deskjet 5650 broken door latch

I have seen this problem with this series of printer. (all the ones shaped like this ie. 5150) The lid will not close all the way on the right side (this is where the lid triggers the door open/close sensor flag). Somehow the sensor flag gets out of alignment over time where the top can't close properly to trigger it. The simplest solution is take something and wedge it where the tab from the lid would come down and make contact with this sensor flag. Print with the lid open or set the lid down on whatever you use to trigger the sensor flag. Hint: when testing and problem solving in house, I use a small piece of paper folded up several times to trigger door open/closed sensors that way I can watch the printing process and diagnose problems.

Printer Door

Hi,

I have that exact problem at work. There is a bump on the right side of the lid...and when you close the lid it presses on a lever. Check and see that the bump actually pushes that lever downwards. That's how the printer determines that it's closed.
