- I have the C:/ drive and D;? which says backup and my cd drive is e:/
I know many computer can restore if you hit f11 at boot. Dell is ctrl and f5 I think. I just cant figure out how to get it to boot to restore from the D partition. Any sugestions?
D:/ is typically the CD-ROM drive. If your system is asking you to restore from D:/, it is probably asking you to insert the CD that came with your system in order to restore your system to factory settings. Please rate, Thanks!
Built in restore partitions are becoming more and more common.
Try F12 for a boot menu. If this does not work you can try pressing Tab during the BIOS boot screen to see if this will show what the key is that you need to press. If Windows will start you can usually find in the Start menu an option to restart the computer and restore. On an HP this is under PC Help and Tools or the HP programs menu.

Umax 2200 usb scanner & Vistascan 3.55u in Windows XP Scanner installs to the default XP scanning software, but I have not been able to install the scanner so that it works with the Vistascan software. I much prefer Vistascan as it is much more user friendly & offers more flexibility. Any help would be appreciated.
