Question about HP ScanJet 2400 Flatbed Scanner
I HAVE A HP SCANJET 2400 FLATBED SCANNER WHICH GIVES A YELLOW SHADOW IN LOWER HALF AND A BLUE SHADOW IN THE UPPER. THE SHADOWS LOOK LIKE A FILM COAT OVER THE IMAGE I HAVE BEEN SCANNING. ALL OTHER JOBS ARE FINELY DONE SAY TIMING, RESOLUTION, IMAGE VARIATION AND SO ON. PLZ GUIDE ME HOW CAN I SOLVE THE PROBLEM?
I have a HP scanner 2400 the scanner any image we scan Yello shading come how is i am solving the problem

Hi I got the same problem . Now I fixed it.. try this it will be helpful ..first open the outer case then oil two drops on the steel rod for lubrication .. move the black colored unit attached in the steel rod up and down for spreading the lubricant and for getting a smooth flow.. then dis mantle all cables in side the scanner. remove dust then reassumble it. Now you will got the clear page. if any "tak tak" sound on scanning .. scanning belt or wheels willbe faulty , replace it, it will get on local electronics shop.

This is a CCD/Processor problem. The only solution is to replace the unit.
