This is known as SLEEP MODE problem.
1. Get a power surge protector / strip.
2. Plug your TV power cord to the power surge.
3.Then turn-on your TV using the remote control. Just in case it won't go all the way to normal state.
4. Turn-off the switch of your power surge like 5 times with an interval of 3-5 seconds.
5. Then repeat step 3 and 4.
6. These step is done to over-ride the sleep mode.

Hello, it sounds like your power supply is gone, there are two things you can do to fix this problem. One is to attempt a component repair on your own, this just means you have to open the unit and look at the power supply. Normally the thing that will go out first on this unit are the capacitors. You might get lucky and find one that is puffy or fat, if you do you will need to get the value of the capacitor and simply put it on google so you can find a replacement. The number two thing you can do is simply send a quick email to firstname.lastname@example.org with the request for the power board and they will let you know the price and availability of the board, you will than have to do a simple swap of the boards and your TV will be back up and running in no time. If you are referring to that you are unable to select the the 1080p setting in the TV menu, first try changing the aspect ratio in the TV Menu.
If that does not do it, you have to change the display setting ion your device, if you can not or it does not have 1080p the problem is that resolution is unsupported by your device
