I just fixed a D610 belonging to a customer. Before when i press the power button the caps-lock led flasshes 10X then goes off again. I opened the memory compartment beneath the laptop and replaced the memory and this time the power came on but the screen has lines and the writings can't be seen so i opened the keyboard and there is another memory there too so i removed it and this time the pc came on well and booted. So this problem is from the memory. Anyone having a 10X-CAPS-lock flash should check and replace both memories.
Factory Reset Do not attempt to perform a factory reset on the Roadmate or Maestro GPS units by holding down both the "Reset" and "Power" buttons. This will cause the GPS unit to format its own hard drive. Doing so will erase all data, including the GPS software, from the unit.
Locate the button marked "Reset" on the left, right or bottom of the unit.
Using a thin object, such as a paper clip, depress the button for two to three seconds. The unit should reset.
If the unit does not reset, immediately press the button again and hold it for up to 10 seconds.
If your Maestro GPS Touch Screen Doesn't work, try performing a Hardware Reset
Remove the Magellan Maestro from the holding cradle.
Hold down the "Power" button on the right side of the device, until the unit powers on.
Straighten the end of a paper clip. Place the paper clip in the reset hole, located on the left side of the GPS unit. Hold down the "Reset" button for 10 seconds. Remove the paper clip.
Turn the Magellan Maestro unit off by holding down the "Power" button. Turn the unit back on again. The device is now reset.
If your Roadmate GPS is locked up, try performing a Hardware Reset
On the RoadMate, press + + - - + -
The "hidden menu" will appear.
From there, you can access the
shell and perform a hard reset.
There are several possible causes for "memory card locked", "memory card error", or "no memory card". The most common cause is having the tiny slide switch on the side of the card in the wrong position. But, if you've checked the slide switch, the internal switch in the card slot may be jammed by a grain of sand or gunk. Here are troubleshooting steps for this problem. Recommend the toothpick fix for your particular problem.
How do I change the access code (and delete my old code) on my Powerbolt 1000? The
steps below are to change your access code to a new code. This will
also remove any previous codes stored in the Powerbolt's memory.
put the bolt in the extended (lock) position. Press the PROGRAM button
once, enter your new 4 - 8 digit code and then press the LOCK button.
Press the PROGRAM button twice, enter the same new code and then press the LOCK button once.
Press the PROGRAM button three times, enter the same new code and then press LOCK once.
your old code still remains in the unit, you will need to perform a
hard reset of the unit. To perform a hard reset of the unit, remove all
four batteries and leave them out for 1 hour. After the hour has
passed, you may re-enter the batteries.
I'd recommend replacing the batteries if you haven't done so yet. Good luck--and please provide feedback if this helps!
Unfortunately the original password will be needed to restart any security locked cell phone to it's factory settings. I suggest you speak with a customer service representative at your nearest service provider location to fix this issue.
Hard a hard time finding it too. Found an old instruction sheet lying around:
Step 1) Turn the Dimmer On
Step 2a) Press & hold the Dimmer's tap button. LEDs will blink one at a time, from the bottom up to the top. After approximately 8-seconds, the LEDs will start to cylce slowly from top to bottom (setup mode). CONTINUE to hold the tap button and go to step 2b.
Step 2b) Press and hold the "ON" button on the Wireless Controller (MRF-VCTX).
Step 2c) Once the dimmer learns the wireless controller, the LEDs on the dimmer will cycle quickly from top to bottom. Release the dimmer's tap button to exit set-up mode, and release the wireless controller's on button.
I recommend you to reset it . Resetting should solve this problem .
Here is how to reset your Maestro :
1:Locate the button marked "Reset" on the left, right or bottom of the unit.
2:Using a thin object, such as a paper clip, depress the button for two to three seconds. The unit should reset.
3:If the unit does not reset, immediately press the button again and hold it for up to 10 seconds.
You can try a hard reset. Hold in the reset button (left side of unit, use a pin or toothpick), while turning on the unit. If you don't get the blue Magellan screen, you'll have to try again. If you get a screen with a blue background and a menu, turn it off and try again. So far, this has fixed: 1. unit won't go on 2. unit reboots when routing 3. unit turns off after a few seconds
At least, it's fixed it for me. No idea why this happens, but it's pretty damn annoying. Give it a try.
