Three days before I brought it to the dealership I had alternator, spark plugs, spark plug wires and a coil put in and it was just fine. It sounded like this when my husband came home from picking it up.

SOURCE: 2005 chevy cobalt 2.2 is running rough (putting)

Number three cylinder is miss fire,it does not mean it is the coil, although it could be,remove the coil, and boot, and spark plug, inspect them to see if the plug,or boot look bad, replace the spark plug, and if the boot is burned or distorted, replace it,a fuel injector can cause a miss fire also, but change the spark plug and see if this solves the problem,if not replace the coil,if it is a dead miss, then the coil might be bad,as for the water in the fuel ,the cap is missing,,and 5 dollars worth of HEET will not hurt, also, fuel from the fuel station, can have water in it.It happens a lot.

SOURCE: We had a recall 03 windstar ABS light was on all

I own a 2001 Windstar. Your noisy brake problem could be nothing more that new brakes being broken in. I have done many brake jobs on my 2001 Windstar as well as other vehicles that I have owned. To prevent this problem from occuring, I apply a thin film of Disc Brake Quieter directly to each brake pad during the installation process. This quiets the brakes during the break in period. I hope this helps.

Our Ford Windstar Van was included in the recall for the rear axle problem. We just got a call that it is fixed. It was sitting outside for 4 months. Is there anything special that the Ford Dealership...

Yes, they are suppose to detail it and road test it to make sure there are no problems. Before accepting and signing for the van insist on a test drive. If the can is not as expected tell them why and see how willing they are to fix it.

What is the service schdule? I bought my Windstar

Hello fellow Windstar owner. I just took my 2001 Windstar into a local Ford Dealer here in Chicagoland to have my rear axle inspected. I can tell you that FORD is taking this recall issue very seriously and with that you will not have any trouble having your vehicle inspected and then repaired. FORD goes by your VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) as a means to track everything like this recall issue. By the way, FORD really impressed me with the repair that was done to my rear axle and I am very picky (I am a former auto mechanic). You will not have any problems with FORD taking a look at your 2003 Windstar. Just call your local FORD dealer and ask for the service department. Tell them you would like your rear axle inspected per the national recall. Please remember to rate my solution. Thanks!

1998 ford expedition how to install rear spider gears

I accidentally rotated the spider gears out when putting a new axle seal on a 04' F-150. I didn't have the tool to compress the clutch packs so I removed the differential carrier and took it and the spider gears down to the local Ford dealership and they put them back in for $20.
