Mine has two wires one of which goes to the radio where it gets a power on sigonal (12 volts when the radio is on). the other wire goes to the an accesory fuse where it gets 12 volts when the key is turned on. the amp needs both of these before it will run

SOURCE: My pioneer gm-h100 amp does

there should be a wire harness that clips into the side of the amp if you dont have the clip u can just use some end conecters and hook it up to the two pins that are on the side and hook that to the remote wire.

I bought a used pioneer car stereo/cd player for my boat, battery wire marked, acc marked ( what does that wire up too?? ) & remote wire?? wat does it hook too ??

battery(yellow) goes to power that is ALWAYS on.(straight to + on batt) red or acc goes to accessory position of ignition key. (if no acc then wire to ign on(unless you want to listen to it with boat off then wire to batt + also but deck will be always on. REM is remote switch wire(gets power when h/u is on) and is used to turn on the amplifier if you have one or to make electric aerial go up. if you don't have either then don't worry bout it. leave it off but tape up the end.

I have a used pioneer cd deck. No sound to speakers

The blue wire would be your remote wire to hook up a amp and if you have a wire harness all you have to do is match the colors up.

How do i turn on sub mode?

For one thing I hope you know you need an amp to even power subs at all.. The remote wire coming off the rca wiring that you hook your subs up with has to go on the prong 3-in on the top here is a rough diagram: the = signs are power and ground and the prongs are thicker the comma is you remote..
- - - - - - - , - =
- - - - - - - - - =

You need a wire coming out of that slot on the wiring harness.. it should be blue. and unless you have a power antenna(comes out when you turn your radio on) then you dont need the blue/blue&white power ant. wire you can just cut it and cap it. if your amp isn't coming on when you turn your ignition to acc then your remote wire isn't properly attached..

Witch is better

hi there. ill start with the wiring. you should have a blue remote lead going to the back of your head unit, the power cable running straight from the amp to the battry, the earth should be earthed in a fairly decent place, any metal inside the car realy, and then your wires pos and neg from the amp to the subs. the reason why the kenwood might not have much base on it is to my knowledge, there should be a switch somewhere on the amp that will increase or decrease the power input for the speakers, if this is set very low then hense why theres not much base comming from them. if the amp is on and its giving something to the subs it probably isnt the wiring. try checking the amp for the switch first, if you cant find it try the pioneer amp and see if theres any diference.
dont hesitate to contact me if you get stuck

cheers, adam
