Question about Heating & Cooling

Coleman electric furnace

I have a coleman evcon furnance/ac unit. the unit is not coming on. I replaced the thermostat still nothing. Replaced the indoor blower relay and capcitor still nothing. replaced the outdoor unit dual relay still nothing. When I push to activate at the outdoor unit contactor the unit outside runs and the coils inside cool but still no blower.

I did remove the blower from the system tested the blower and it works on all speeds. I checked the voltage at the thermostat and only get 2.6 MV. Now I am thinking it could be the transformer. Any thoughts.

You don't say whether you replaced the blower but that could be the next thing to check

SOURCE: Intertherm E1EH-015HA FURNACE no heat

Sounds like a downflow electric furnace? If so it sounds like you have 15kw worth of electric heat, you might have a defective heating sequencer, witch is what they call a dual on one plate.

SOURCE: outside carrier unit doesn't come on when thermestat on cool

The board is bad, what you can do is splice into the common (blue) and Yellow t-stat wires and connect them directly into the contactor and hopefully the reversing valve engages, giving you cooling for the time being

SOURCE: AC unit outdoor fan motor does not come on as it

It sounds like the contacts of the contactor are burnt/pitted. When this occurs, it can allow enough current to operate the fan motor but not enough to operate the compressor.

Coleman Evcon furnace. Can i make it circulate air?

Your thermostat should have a "continuous blower" setting. Use that instead of fooling around with the A/C setting

I have a Coleman Evcon Elec Furnace with the added AC Unit. The blower works great with the AC but only on & off with the heat, what could this be?

Replace the sequencer...which is just a series of snap disc relays that are staged. The first snap disc should kick on the first element & low speed of blower. Depending on how many elements you have, determines how many snap discs are on the sequencer. It could be a 2,3,4, or 5 stack. Generally the coil is 24 volts.

The thermostat clicks but the a/c won't turn on. I

You need to check the breaker for the A/C in the electrical panel, and have the fuses in the disconnect located near the A/C outdoor unit.

My furnance is acting up you turn it on it clicks on then lights the flame gets big then seconds later the flames go out and the blower kicks on what could be the problem ive had several people look at it...

If the fan takes too long to come on, the high temp limit may be opening. Could be a defective limit, hard to say without more info. Another possibility is a mis-adjusted heat anticipator. A normal setting would be around .45 amp. The heat anticipator is inside the cover of the thermostat (older, analog style). Good luck.
