What settings do i use to arc weld.

Not sure what machine you have, but it should be DC straight (electrode negative or DCEN) and DC reverse (electrode positive or DCEP). The polarities have different characteristics. For example, if you're planning to TIG weld, you would either use DCEN or AC (if welding aluminum). For the general stick welding process, DCEP tends to give you a deeper weld. The welding rod you buy will have recommended machine polarity and amperage range settings, you should use the recommended polarity for whichever rod you're using because different rods are designed to weld under different circumstances. But, generally speaking, most welding rods for steel will work on DCEP without much trouble.

The hose from drum is leaking how do i fix it

Take the front cover off. (usually two screws at the bottom) You'll see the hose attached to a tube welded to the drum. Check the hose for cracks and also check around the tube weld. If that's leaking you sometimes can fix it with J-B Weld, a 2 part epoxy for metal. If just the hose, buy one at an appliance parts dealer and install it with the original hose clamps.

GW450001AC Where can I find a manual? Where can I find the locking connectors on the welding machinge for the welding cables? Are they called small Dintz? Will this machine run 1/8 welding rod?

Try to find the manual from your local tool trader, or go to the manufactures website and give them the serial # and and you can print a manual. I've done it with heavy equipment. To buy the quick connects, just look up welding supply in the yellow pages. Always buy your welding tools and supplies from a lisceansed welding supply. And yes you can weld with 1/8th rod, but you have to turn it up to 140 to do so, and use a 7018 rod

I cracked my clutch cover and all my oil leaked out, what do I do next

If it is an aluminium cover take it off, clean it up and take it to a mechanical machine shop. They are used to welding aluminium heads and should be able to weld it for you. This happened to my bike . got it welded a bit of spray paint and its fine and the repais is un noticable. A lot cheaper than buying a new cover. Hope this helps If it does Vote Jeff

Welding aluminum and wire keepscoming out of rollers

your hobart machine it's not suit up for standard aluminum welding, the lenght of the gun it's too long therefore the wire will nest at the drive rolls. You need to buy a spool gun. Or change gun liner for a teflon one (instead of metal one), then change the drive roll for knurled ones and finally oversize your tip if you can. No need to do ALL this if you buy a spool gun.

Try like I did, which is to fix the leaks with alluminum welding or have it tig welded by a welding shop, use a very powerful magnifiying lens to inspect for cracks also, Clean the piping and run a ton of water through it before you have coffee !
