My 2006 Hyundai H100 is making a noise when I turn the steering. Is the power steering fluid to low perhaps? If so where do I refill the power steering fluid? or can it be something else?

Hi, The steering fluid can be topped up in the reservior. Follow the line from the pump to the tank. Top up if needed with same kind oil, your manual will tell you this. Dextron II hydraulic oil for power steering. Sold at many auto parts stores. Good luck.

My husband is traveling and I need to put power steering fluid in our 1990 Porsche 928. I could not find the Manual in the car. Where do I put the fluid? Which reservoir is the correct one? Thanks!

there is a belt on the front of the engine that drives the various items like alternator, water pump, air conditioner and power steering pump-the power steering pump is the only accessory that has a reservior with a cap on it-look for it and turn the cap counter clockwise, it has a small dipstick on it. fill the reservior to the full level using the dipstick.

1995 saturn My windshield washer doesn't squirt fluid. Which fuse should I check? What else should I look at?

This reply falls under, " what else should I look at."

When you press to squirt, do you hear any sound? if you do there are 3 easy things you can do.

1. Some of the windshield wiper reserviors, ( plastic bottles ), need a minimumlevel of fluid to operate, so, make sure you fill up your reservior.

If that doesn't help;
2. There is a very small hose that runs from the reservior to the pump, pull it off of the pump end, very carefully, and have someone hit the squirter.

If fluid comes through the hose;
3. Take a very small paper clip, straighten one end out, and push it into the ports that the water shoots out of to squirt the windshield.
Sometimes wax or debree can clogg these very little holes.

How do i check brake fluid on a 2006 flstc

You check the brake fluid for the front brakes by turning the handle bars so that the top of the brake fluid reservior is nearly level, usually all the way to the left. Remove the two screws and take the top off the reservior. If you add any fluid, make sure you put the correct fluid in the reservior, the proper type should be written on the top of the reservior cover. I'm pretty sure it's DOT 4. Do not mix DOT 4 and DOT 5.

To check the rear, find the reservior. On the older models it used to be on downtubes on the front of the frame, right in front of the engine. Same here, make sure you add the correct type of fluid.

Good Luck,
Steve

Where is the reservior to add brake fluid to a 1991 dodge ram truck 150? there seems to be no brakes and no leaking fluid that I can tell. i wanted to check the brake fluid but the dual cap reservior on...

that is your brake fluid reservior. if you have fluid and no brake noise you may have a faulty mastercylinder. the first thing i would check is to make sure the vaccum hose to the brake booster is connected to the brakebooster and to the rear of the engine (since you did not know where your brake fluid reservior was the master cylinder is the meatal part that holds the reservior and the brake booster is the big round bubble that the master cylinder is bolted to) hope this helps you out.

one gose to the parts store and get the broken part . find the master cylinder reservoir , when at parts store find out what kind it fluid ittakes. refill reservior with brake fluid .put on your safety glasses raise side of that is broken remove wheel , place on jack stand. remove broken part try not to let all the fluid drain from reservior. may have to use a trick or two to get it off but it dose come off , install new one ,check fluid again top off if necessary . IT VERY VERY IMPORTANT IT DOSE NOT RUN DRY. start at the farest brake ,on the back of where the tire gose there is a small nut with a hole running throw it that is called a bleeder valve. 2 people will be needed 1 in the kar and 1 to say hold it back to the back side of tire loosen bleeder nut then re tigthen hand tight.then yell ok the person inthe car will pump the brake paddle 7 to10 ten times slowly press to floor then back up1 one thousand then down again a thousand between each pump. after 7 to 10 pump the car person will yell ok and hold down the brake then the under buddy turns the bleeder nut open,letting out air trapped in the lines repeat until you get a good stream of fluid. move to other side of car, car person will re fill reservoir putting cap back on reservior each filled bleed the brake same way . by this time the paddle should be getting hard not going to the floor. if it is recheck brake line work for leaks . if not game on after back is done recheck fluid move to front .do the one not broken first then broken last paddel should be hard like you have brakes don t forget to top off fluid again . then turn hard. if it is you are done if not look for leak and fix
once the car is in action it may or may not have to be done again goood luck DONOT STRIP BLEEDER NUT

Washer doesn't work and I can't hear the pupmp motor working.

The windshield washer pump is part of the windshield wash reservior.
There is an electrical connector located on the bottom of the reservior.
That is the pump .
If the pump is not in the reservior. I would just trace the washer fluid lines from the sprayer on the vehicle back to the pump. The lines just might lead back to the reservior for the windshield wash solution. Then you will have confirmed the pump is in the reservior.

You may have to get a new reservior. The pump might not be seperate item, I am not 100% sure on that.

I also would double check the fuses and any relays related to the washer pump.

Finally, I would check the washer switch if you replace the pump and still is not working .

Good luck

Air in the power steering filter

The power steering fluid will aerate (churn and make bubbles) if the power steering fluid is overfull or underfilled.

If the steering is making a binding sensation, causing excess motor drag, then it's probably low.

Just go to auto parts store and buy their recommended fluid. It's about $3/quart usually. Some auto makers require very specific fluid for their cars, but for a Nissan, it should be somewhat standard.

There should be a dipstick that is marked with the proper fluid level on your power steering pump. It'll be marked HOT and COLD, which of course corresponds with when you're checking the fluid. If you haven't driven the car and it's morning time, check the level with COLD. If the car has been driven and is warmed up, then check it against HOT.
