The float is stuck, how? do you mean you cannot pull the little hinge pin out OR the float wont move up or down? If the float wont move up or down then; Your float is stuck because the needle valve is stuck in the Seat area. Spray carburetor cleaner in that area and slowly try to work the needle valve up and down. It should free up very soon and the needle valve and float will come down and out.

Craftsman lt 3000 20 hp briggs and Stratton sat in storage 4 yrs. cylinder fills with gas when sitting over night.when I clean it out it will run but has surge with a miss???

As a guess carby float needle and seat stuck from sitting,
Remove bowl type section from undercarby, may be able to free with a wiggle of exposed float as float operates needle ,, if not easy to remove, wiggle it and look at it from all directions to try to get a good understanding of how it works before pulling it apart

Powertech generator MG4502 over reving nothing plugged in

First, check the rod and spring to the carb are connected and looking healthy. If not replace.

If all is in good shape I would next check the carb float. This can happen when the Carb Float Needle gets stuck and is easy to rectify.
If you watch this video on YouTube it will show you how to free up the Float Needle. It is the same procedure on all Carbs:

Suzuki 800, 1997 carb floats stuck

the floats are easy to fix...getting to them is the problem. the old gass has gone bad and will not ease up if new gass added.
remove carbs undo the 4 retaining bolts on the bottom of the carbs spray with carb cleaner free them up by hand (try not to adjust anything) and replace on bike !

The water basin that receives and pumps out the excess water on my Aprilaire 600 humidifier runs incessantly, even when very little waters in in teh basin? Is there an easy fix? thank you

If you are referring to a condensate pump then the float might be stuck and causing the pump to run continuously. The best thing to do is turn off power to the pump and clean it out and make sure the float is free and not stuck.

Leaking gas assumes carb is stuck, any easy solution?

Hi, Mypenn48 and the usual suspects are:
1. Damaged or restricted fuel tank venting system.
2. Loose float bowl screws.
3. Damaged float bowl o-ring.
4. improper fuel level in the float bowl.
5. Worn or dirty inlet valve or seat.
6. Damaged or leaking float assembly.
7. Particle contamination in inlet fitting cavity.

Dishwasher wont run water or turn off

This sounds like the float switch is stuck or bad. You might be able to wiggle the float or float rod around to free it up. Otherwise you will need to check the float switch itself and replace. This is easy and inexpensive. This link will walk you thru checking and replacing the float switch. It may be a different model but the process will be the same. If you need a diagram or illustration of your specific model enter your model # there. http://appliancehelponline.com/dishfloatwaterinletvideo.html

Why is my gas gage showing a full tank when the tank is empty?

Two possibilities;
The gauge itself is stuck at full (a few sharp whacks with your hand under the instrument panel may free it, if it is), or the float in the tank is stuck at the top.

There's an access panel under the trunk liner, and reaching through it and tapping on the sensor mount with the rubber handle of a screwdriver may free it.

These are the simple and easy things to look for first...of course, it gets harder from here...
Your float sensor could have gone bad, but in some models the sensor is fused which opens the possibility of a simple fuse change.

I just had the carburetor cleaned out and now the carbs keep flooding up with gas and the engine keeps shuting off

The float may be adjusted to high allowing to much fuel to be in carb. inturn fuel fouling your spark plugs. Also check to make sure the needle and seat are sealing as to stop the fuel flow. One other thing possible is the float is no longer floating,(leaks if brass or saturated if not brass) This can be check by just seeing if the float still floats or by shakeing the brass to see if you hear or feel fuel inside.
The float level needs to be set perfectly. I hope this info helps.
