My dsi has no sound at all

It could be either internal speaker damage, internal circuit damabe or problems with the headphone jack. Try plugging in headphones if you have sound then you have no internal circuit damage. Try cleaning the headphone port with a cut off Q-tip. Also sit it in a warm dry place for a few days. If the sound still does not work the speakers may need to be replaced.

Carlsbro gamma 15 400 internal amplifier

I'm not familiar with your exact product, but Parts Express sells all sorts of replacement in-speaker amplifiers. I've replaced several powered subwoofer amplifiers with their products, and the customers usually report-back that it sounds better than when new. You might want to check them out, and see if they have one that will fit.

Why my hardan/kardon speaker of my hp laptop did not functioning after i reformat my laptop

Please confirm whether you are using external or internal speakers. If those are internal then it may be because of unavailability of the sound card drivers. Try to install those drivers and you will be able to hear the sound from inbuilt laptop speakers. Do let me know your laptop make and the operating system which you are using. I will send the direct link to you.

I have nad tuner 4155,sounds garbled and very little volume

Hi, you might need to replace Some damaged resistor controlling the sound function.
Please if no basic experience ,contact a repairman.

Replacing Damaged Resistors

Disconnect the stereo at the plug and remove the outer case.

Confirm that the resistor is damaged by testing the tolerance with a multimeter. Melt the current solder with an iron and remove the damaged resistor.

Mount the replacement resistor onto the circuit board. Trim any surplus lead material from around it.

"Tin" the tip of the soldering iron by melting a tiny amount of solder directly onto it. Remove any surplus solder and place the tip straight onto the circuit board.

Melt a tiny amount of solder straight onto the joint, using the solder spool. Ensure that the solder does not touch the tip of the iron.

Melt the solder straight onto the area between the resistor lead and the printed circuit board. Leave it to set and ensure that the joint is strong. Reassemble the stereo and test it.

Also Spray the volume control knob with electrical contact cleaner. Twist the knob from low to high to make certain that all the workings are adequately lubricated. This should eliminate any interference that you've experienced when adjusting the volume.

Check the condition of the speaker wires if the stereo is emitting no sound. Ensure that no bare wires are coming in contact with each other. This will result in a dead short. Replace any damaged wires with new ones.

Check the connections of all speaker wires if no damage is detected. Ensure that the wires are securely connected at the back of the stereo and at the speakers' connections. Confirm that the positive and negative connections on the stereo are connected to the corresponding speaker connections.

Good luck..

No sound from internal speaker, but I can hear using headset. The problem heppened with Laptop HP 620.

This is a possible damage on the internal speakers or a connection fault at the headphone jack connector. you might need to open the laptop to check and confirm on the connectors.

The speakers are not working. if i turn up the volume, I can hear static noise, but do not get any sound. tv speakers are on. I played around with the audio settinds and all the different hdmi ports,...

There are two possibilites for this fault. The first one is, damaged speaker voice coil and the second one is damaged audio output IC. To confirm it you have to open your TV. Speakers can be checked without removing them from the cabin fittings. Check them with the helap of a multimeter; set in OHms range. You can alos check it with a standard torch cell also. Connect the two terminals of the torch cell to the two terminals of the speaker [intermittantly, not constantly]; will produce a 'thumb' sound; if the speaker is good.
Connect the 'audio out socket' of the tv, with any other audio equipment, and listen whether there is sound form the external audio equipment, like amplifier or so. If there is sound from the external audio equipment, and no sound from the internal speaker of the TV, and the speaker is good, surely the 'audio output IC' of the TV is damged and should be replaced. OK.

Nuvi 205w

Is the sound muted? and I assume you have the volume set at maximum?

On the older Nuvi's you could try plugging in a set of headphones to see if you could hear audio. If you could, then that verified that the internal speaker is bad. On the Nuvi 2xx series there is no head phone jack so there is not an easy way to confirm if the speaker is bad.

From my experience is repairing Nuvi's I would say that your internal speaker is bad, provided all of the settings are correct. The speaker will need to be replaced. I can help you with that.

Best wishes,
- Jim
