Launch the Logitech QuickCam or Webcam software on your computer. Verify that you see yourself Logitech Webcam software window. Close the software window. Sign in to Skype. To test if the WEBCam is functioning, check the USB cable; make sure it is connected properly. Then click on Start - All Program - your model WEBCam and see if you can get the WEBcam to capture your image/video. If this works then the fault is with the Skype video configuration. Sometimes the WEBcam settings drops off and the WEBcam need to be selected again. Open Skype - Tools - Options - Video Settings and select your model WEBCam.

Also check the Audio Settings for your model microphone THEN click on Save.
Avoid connecting the WEBcam to an USB hub, connect it to the USB port on your computer.

Game is slow and freezes


try to check your video settings . try to lower ur video settings to medium and try to the game. if problem persist try reinstalling the game. also check your video card compatibility with the game.

No color display when i play DVD thru component.


First, check the settings on the DVD player's setup menu for output. Make sure it's set to either Component or Y YB YR or YBPR, and not to "Video". If your settings are correct, check the component cable and make sure it's plugged in correctly on both sides, TV and DVD. If still having a problem, try a new cable.
Finally check the input settings on the TV, if you still have a problem, try using a basic Audio Video cable on the Video out of the DVD to Video 1 in on the TV. That's about as much as you can check. If all fails, if possible, connect the DVD to another TV to check for the same problem to determine if it's a DVD player problem or a TV input problem. Hope this helps!

My Toshiba 55HT1U is showing 480p instead of 1080p. Why is it not on 1080p?


It is probably your video source. If you are using component video, some devices only output 480p.

Check the settings of your sources. The TV will display only what the device sends to it.

In most devices under a settings directory there will be settings labeled "Video" or "Resolution" Changing these settings to more appropriate High Definition resolutions should solve your problem.

Video Output Settings Adjust the system's video output settings. Select the best output settings for the TV in use.

Check the resolution supported by your TV.
Resolution (video mode) varies depending on the TV type. For details, refer to the instructions supplied with the TV.

Select [Video Output Settings].

Select the connector type on your TV.

Hi,

Try the below steps.

You can try adjusting the video settings of your Windows Media Player:

  1. On the menu tab, select View
  2. Select Enhancements
  3. Select Video Settings


Under video settings you can adjust the brightness, contrast, color settings, etc.

You can also check on the video size:

  1. On the menu tab, select "View"
  2. Select "Video Size"

Try to check if this issue occurs on Skype only or with all programs

If it is for Skype only:
You need to check the Video Settings in Skype.
Start Skype > Options > Video Settings > select the webcam that you are using.
If the webcam is not on the list, download and install the driver from the manufacturer website
Try to set Automatically Receive Video from - select Anyone or Only people in my contact list.

I have a skype account and so does my daughter. We each have a web cam. She can see me when we dial one another, but I cannot see her. Can anyone tell me what we are doing wrong?


Here's a sollution:
1. Click on Skype Menu Tools -> Options.
2. In General section on the left press Video Settings.
3. Check Enable skype video check box
4. Check Star my video automatically when I am in a call check box
5. Select webcam from the drop-out menu
6.You may check webcam settings by pressing button Webcam Settings
7. If you can't see your video in rectangle on the right, check whether your webcam is correctly installed (driver) and connected to the PC.
8. Check Automatically receive video... from anyone or only people in my Contact List check box.
9. Save your changes

Hey there,

I remember reading about this in my manual
It's under one of the TIP! sections, on page 46 under the 'Video Camera' topic. It says the following;

  • "When you exit the video camera all your settings will return to default, except Video Size and Video Quality. Any non-default setting you require will need to be reset, for example colour tone and white balance. Check them before you shoot your next video."



Same applies to the Camera settings on page 43;

  • "When you exit the camera, all yours settings will return to default, except image size and image quality. Any non-default settings you require will need to be reset, for example, colour tone and ISO, Check them before you take your next photo."
