Check and replace all the electrolytic capacitors at its main power regulator board and check. If it do not help you, replace the power board as card basis. It is a power regulator board problem.

Comment by Guest, posted on Oct 25, 2008My Aquos has the same problem. I'm not sure how I discovered this, but when I lean the TV forward and hit the power button it will turn on every time. If the screen blacks out and I don't lean it forward when I hit the power button, the screen will just remain blank. It is very weird, but at least repeatable.

- Thank you, Guest. That did it. It definitely seems to be a problem with the TV. Tilting it and hitting the power button helped me get the video back.

SOURCE: Memorex HDTV no picture

I am going to assume that you have not already found the answer to this problem. It is actually pretty common for flat panel televisions in the winter to be too cold to turn on. What I did when faced with this problem on my 32 inch memorex was turn it on for 30 minutes while covered with a fleece blanket, than turn it off. When you turn it back on it should work...did for me!

Hi. You can try to go into service mode and reset the LCDTV to Factory Default. This will clear out all buffer over run's and any software related issues. It may fix the problem or it may not. If this doesnt fix the problem than you need to have a qualified Technician to look at it. The problem is in the AV circuit board, a technician who is qualified to repair electronics at circuit board level should be able to repair this problem rather quickly and inexpensively. Most technicians who do not have the expertise in repairing cicuit boards to component level would rather replace the whole AV board than repair it and this will be rather expensive. So talk to the repair shop before you drop the TV off.

Be very careful when accessing service mode. I suggest to write down all information in all areas before proceeding to a factory reset. If you do not record all values correclty you run the chance of not being able to use the TV again. To go into Factory Service mode, use the original remote and in this sequence push POWER OFF-MUTE-1-8-2-Power ON, the set will turn on and enter service mode, if you hit all previous keys correctly. If it doesnt try again. When you are done hit POWER OFF and this will exit service mode and save the data.

SOURCE: tv keeps turning on and off

You probably have blown capacitors on the PSB-power supply board. Recaping with new UF caps works 90% of the time. The set turns itself of into a fault protection to keep from damaging more components internally. A few bucks a soldering iron some solder should do the trick.

Bike wont idle when cold, have to open throttle to keep running.

Hi, Anonymous the carburetor throttle shaft wheel has two cables the cable closest to the right side of the bike is the throttle cable and the one closest to the left side is the idle cable. Right about the middle between the two is the idle adjustment bolt it faces out towards the air filter end of the carb . The engine should be at operating temperature with the enrichener off to set the idle between 950-1050 rpm. Turn the idle adjustment bolt clockwise to increases idle speed and counterclockwise to decrease idle speed. If you have access to your air fuel mixture bolt you may adjust it as well if not there is a video below on how to gain access, make sure you start with clean or new spark plugs. Gently turn the air fuel mixture bolt clockwise until it starts to bottom out "STOP" do not over tighten as it will damage the taper on the end, now back it out 2 full turns to establish a starting point start the engine and check the idle rpm's and adjust the idle adjustment bolt accordingly for 950-1050 rpm if necessary, adjust the air fuel mixture bolt 1/4 turn at a time and let the engine settle for about 10 seconds, clockwise for a leaner mixture and counterclockwise for a richer mixture you are seeking the highest rpm your air fuel mixture bolt can acquire without going past 3 full turns from bottom then readjusting the idle adjustment bolt back down to 950-1050 rpm If you can not detect any rpm change and can not stall the engine by turning the air-fuel mixture bolt all the way in then your pilot/low-speed jet is too big. Final adjustment should be made with a clean air filter mounted to the carburetor. My 6-month old tv is making intermittent 'buzzing" sounds. It was a Christmas gift and I don't have any paperwork on it but it did come from Costco. What should I do? Thanks so much.

Humming usually begins when the backlight setting is low. For some sets setting the backlight anywhere from 95 to 100 works. Most wok at 100. So turning it up should get rid of the problem. You can follow the 5 steps below to change the backlight setting.

1. Turn the TV on.
2. Press the Menu button on the remote, located right below the channel changing button.
3. Press the down direction button, located at the middle of the remote. Press that button until the backlight is highlighted.
4. Press the right direction button until the backlight is at 100.
5. Press the OK button and then the Exit button until you get back to your picture.

I have a 42 that has begin to strobe. it is like the back light problem but instead of just losing picture all the way it just strobes on and off real fast. when you first put on game where backlight is...

First, try setting all display settings to default or 'normal' or 'standard' and disable any picture processing functions. If your TV is LED backlit then the LED dimming function may not be working correctly (dimming is done by rapidly switching the LEDs on & off).

No picture

If we first establish if the tv has actually come on and out of standby. If this is the case, gently press on the lcd with your finger..Is there any backlight showing ? Is there any sound on the TV? If there is sound and no picture and no backlight your problem will be the invertor. If there is no sound, no backlight, the fault most probably is the power supply board, and could be a fuse or capacitors going 'dry' with bulging tops. If there is backlight and sound, the problem will most likely be main pcb or the Tcon pcb (mounted on the LCD rear top middle).

Sounds like one of three things:

1) Mainboard/Tuner problems - although I'm really only saying this because you guys seem to think its associated with your over the air channels.
<br>
2) Power board problems. You power board/inverter may be damaged in some way - blown capacitor or other malfunctions. This is very possible as this could result in the backlight turning off and the screen going black but keeping the keeping the sound. If this is the problem, it will at some time start to happen constantly. Have a pro open it up and look at the power board.

3) The backlight is defective/dying. The backlight is a set of lights that reflects through the LCD panel. If the screen looks black, but you might see a faint picture or you still hear sound, then the backlight is not on. The panel itself could be defective. You can fix it by replacing the whole LCD panel (expensive), replacing the backlight panel itself (need a busted LCD of the same size with a working backlight), or fix the backlight, which is tough and risky.

Most likely its either the power board or backlight. Either way, you need someone to open up the TV and take a look inside. Good luck! Hope it works out.
