Question about Computers & Internet

1 Answer

I have a apple monitor model number:A1267 connected to my MacBook Pro 15" and I just moved to Germany. I am wondering if I am able to plug in the monitor (which is obviously connected/powering my MacBook) in just a 220V adapter and power strip or do I need to have it plugged into a transformer? If the answer is a transformer, is there an easy way to simple replace the power cord in the back of the monitor to a 220V plug? Thanks!

Depends where you moved from!

It should state on the device itself what voltage range it can accept.

As always the Apple products are proprietary and DISPLAY post has issues. Disregard all the testing with other adapters and displays and replace the inverter first, it is the cheaper option.

My MacBook Pro shows the message "Not Charging"

It could be either. Your best bet is to just take it to Apple and let them run a battery/adapter tester. That'll verify everything. Otherwise you can use a different battery and see if the same thing happens.

You need to change the refresh rate, some monitors operate on 60 Hertz, and others on 70 or 72 Hertz, try changing the refresh next to the resolution choices.

I have a 24" aoc 2436Vh display and a new 15"

I purchased the AOC 2436Vh display yesterday. To get my MacBook Pro to work with it I purchased Apple's Mini DisplayPort to VGA Adapter. Since the monitor comes with the VGA cable, all you need is the adapter to plug it into your MacBook Pro. It works beautifully and set up is easy if you know your way around the Mac. Although the HDMI works perfectly with my PS3, I strongly recommend the Apple Mini DisplayPort to VGA adapter. I hope this helps.

If you have "good batteries" installed in the mouse and keyboard and you still have the problem- the best way is to remove the devices via the System Preference panel in your MacBook and then re-install them again. It is important that you remove them first as the system may revert to the previous connection. Good luck!
