Question about Microsoft LifeCam VX-1000 WIN-Blk Webcam
Ive tried to install the LifeCam vx-1000 many of times with the cd that came in the package. software installs fine. but the software will not load. it crashes when i open it. but thats not the point at the moment. in device manager it says there are no drivers installed for the usb webcam. ive directed it to the cd where i have found drivers on there but it says it cant find any. ive even directed it straight to the folder on the disk. but nothing.. Ive even tried installing a driver and software package from microsofts website. Still nothing..
Did you install the software with the camera connected to
the computer? Disconnect the camera from the USB port and reinstall the
software. When the program asks you to connect the camera, do so, and it
should work. Hope this is of some help.
Below is info for setting up Audio & Video to chat on line after you install , either Skype or a messenger program.
Web Camera’s have to be setup on the program they are to be used with. Just installing the camera on your computer does not set it up to broadcast on messengers or Skype.
Each program has Options that have to be setup in order for the Audio and Video to function properly.
A. Skype Setup:
After downloading and installing Skype set it up as follows:
The camera and audio should function properly. Your friends and Family will now see and talk to you.
B. Yahoo Setup:
After downloading and installing Yahoo Messenger set it up as follows:
C. Windows Live Messenger:
When done both the Audio and Video will function properly so you can chat and see family or friends you are connected to.
Hope this helps. Bud
