Question about Sangean Audio Players & Recorders
The DPR99+ and similar radios have a "bouncing" power switch problem. When you press"off" after about 2 seconds it comes back "on". Only 5 minutes of playing this silly off/on game is quite enough! Eventually you seem to catch it just right and it stays off. Anybody got the solution, or even a schematic? With only that diagram, I know the right guys to talk to.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Remove the battery compartment door and the batteries. There should be a small hole marked "reset" under the upper battery cradle. Press (gently...until it clicks) and hold for 5 seconds. Replace batteries and try again.

Don't be mis-led by the working display. I had the "no power" problem with a working display too. I measured the voltage of the two AA batteries. One was 1.33 volts and the other was only 0.76 volts. Replaced the weak AA and everything worked. I suspect the 'enable' circuitry fails around/below 2.1v.

Switch is fine. You have a damaged audio circuit caused by vibration. Check the bikes mounting brackets. probably broken. The radio will need to be repaired. www.ironcrossaudio.com
