SOURCE: How can I reset the Bios-Password of my Fujitsu

Hello,
There are 2 ways you can reset your bios2_bing.gif.

1. On the motherboard there is a small watch battery. Remove this battery along with the power cable from the power supply. Hold down the power button to fully discharge the system. Wait 2-3 minutes then reinstall the battery and plug in2_bing.gif your system. Your reset is now complete

2. Some motherboards have a 3 pin jumper by the battery. Lets say that the jumper is on pins 2 and 3. Remove the jumper while the machine is OFF and place onto pins 1 and 2. Power on your machine for a minute. (Note: Your system will not POST). Shutdown your machine and put the jumper back to pins 2 and 3. Your reset is now complete

This is a great troubleshooting2_bing.gif step for those of you having POST issues or no POSTing at all. Like other troubleshooting steps, this will not always work but usually will depending on the problem.

Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.
Thanks.

User and Administartor passwords are only for your OS. Windows® for Example
To reset your BIOS password, you must disconnect your laptop-battery. Wait a few minutes, and put it back in. Now your BIOS password has been reset and you can access your BIOS again.

Lifebook Fujitsu A6020 does not boot up. Hear hard drive work a little but the three lights all flash at the same time and never stops and never boot up. Tried to get into BIOS but unable to.

There are a few causes for this.
  • Battery is bad and is shorting the power supply out
  • Battery is bad and has damaged the power plug in the back of the computer.
  • The power supply is bad and doens't have enough to power the computer.
  • The motherboard is bad/damaged - This is worst case scenario
Let's troubleshoot and see if it is anything else besides the motherboard.
  1. Remove the battery and plug in the cord and power up. If it works, replace the battery
  2. Wiggle the plug in the back of the computer. If it is loose, the plug needs replaced
  3. Take your computer to a repair shot and try a replacement power supply and see if it will work.
  4. If that doesn't work, then you may want to leave your computer there.

I have a fujitsu lifebook that will not charge my battery. I replaced the ac adapter, and i replaced the battery and continue to have the problem

Bad power circuit on the motherboard. Usually part of the motherboard and thus would require motherboard replacement to fix the problem.

BIOS Password - UNKNOWN

Remove the battery. That will clear the cmos known as the bios. Check the manual there may also be a jumper that can also clear the bios. Remove the battery & unplug the power before doing this.
