Question about Nespresso Citiz C110

CitiZ swap outside casing

I have both a European CitiZ 220V Nespresso (black) and a US CitiZ 110 V NY Limited Edition. I would like to swap the outside cases so that I have a European 220V CitiZ with the New York Limited Edition casing. Is this achievable/difficult?

I've stripped the casing from this model and it isn't difficult, though you do have to be careful. You should check out the Service Manual for the machine to first to decide if you're up to the job. The service manual is readily available online, just Google, 'Nespresso Citiz Service Manual' and you should get it in PDF format. The manual explains the process for dismantling and re-assempling. It also conatins wiring diagrams for all versions. It looks like the casing is the same, regardless of country. When I stripped mine, I didn't have the specialist Nespresso tools for the job, but carefully inprovised using small pliers instead of the special oval screw driver. BEWARE...any remaining warranty will be invalid if you carry out any work on the units!

Nespresso citiz won['t exit descaling mode

I had the same issue, and took it to the repair shop, where the guy did the same thing, just pressed both cup buttons for 3 seconds. It worked. He said the Lungo button had to be pressed a little harder, as it had some connection problem, and thats why it didnt work for me. If you have the same problem, the machine will start buzzing for about half a sec if you press the lungo button while in descaling mode.

How often and how do I descale my nespresso citiz? I cannot find my manual!

I worked for Nespresso for 2 years and YOU DO NOT descale every 30 days. You will clean your machine ONCE A YEAR or every 600 capsules. You will know your capsule count via your nespresso account. A representative can relay that information

We have a Nespresso Citiz C110 which today decided to start having problems. It starts its cycle perfectly but as it is filling the cup the water goes cold and after a few seconds switches the pump off...

Sounds like it needs to be descaled. If this has not been done for a very long time, the scale will have affected the thermoblock and I may not return to full function. I only use Nespresso descale kit (not vinegar).

Power cord exchangable

every electrical machine should have the required voltage printed somewhere on it. You never need to open it up to find out.

Look for something like 110/120 v or 220/240v

Different HZs problem (from 60Hz to 50Hz)

Hi,

Yes there are frequency converters available but most are relatively over rated (industrial) for your requirement such as MDS Power or VisiComm Industries. What you need is a Low Power Solid State Frequency Converters lower than a
Electrocon Frequency Converters. However, I expect this devices to be rather expensive.

A few other options you may want to consider:
1. Contact the store where you bought if from; swap with an International version (Model SL-1210 Mark II; same price as SL-1200 Mark II); dual voltage switchable on rear of unit: 120 volts/60 Hz (U.S.) or 220 volts/50 Hz (Europe). You hopefully just spend for the cost of shipping + a restocking fee;
2. Contact 3rd party Technics TT specialist like TopDJGear, Quality Electronics, Planet DJ or DJHardware
and inquire if they would supply you the part(s) that you need to convert the 1200 to a 1210; or
3. Offer a swap on eBay.

Hope this be of some idea/help. Pls post back how things turned out or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.
