SOURCE: there is a red dotted

Hello,

All Plasma and LCD TV have boards that control vertical and horizontal output to their respective areas. They are connected to the screen by ribbon cables. If one of these boards fails all together, has a failed chip, a bad connection, or a bad ground somewhere it will result in a black line in the area of that board. A bad ribbon cable connection on the bottom will result in a vertical black bar though the screen. Many times resetting the connection will fix it, if the ribbon cable has been nicked there could be a severed connection. They an sometimes be fixed, but it is a pain. An yes I have done it, but the bar is gone. The same will happen if the chip that outputs to that area opens. The connectors are the first place to look paying close attention to the cable, they are extremely delicate so great care must be taken if you decide to tinker with em, the usually have lift locks that release them. Good luck.

How to fix the green dotted vertical line that appears on the screen?

This tablet does not come with windows, that would be the W500...
There is no fix for a line of dead pixels other than replacing the LCD module, also you cannot use a monitor unless it has HDMi connection, also the unit is a tablet, not a laptop.

The screen is blue with vertical dotted white moving lines ... menu options are psycodelic in color

Hello,

IF YOU HAVE A SOLID BLACK LINE RUNNING VERTICALLY THEN YOU HAVE A FAULTY MATRIX INVERTER. IF CENTRAL THE MAIN VERTICAL INVERTER NEEDS CHANGED. LEFT = LEFT VERTICAL INVERTER RIGHT=RIGHT.........

ANOTHER WAY TO GET THIS FAULT IS WORN OR DAMAGED RIBBON/PLASTIC GOING FROM THE SCREEN MATRIX TO THE INVERTER

I hope this will help in solving the problem, and do take care in handling the problem....

TI-84 silver: Black arrow instead of line in function mode

Hello,
I have answered this question multiple times. I have no idea why you calculator refuses to allow you to choose more graph styles. Maybe you should reset it by clearing the RAM.
Concerning the connected asymptotes.
In truth your function has one aymptote namely the straight line x=2 but your graph has two asymptotic branches, one tends towards -infinity, the other toward + infinity. That they seem connected is an illusion due to the finite resolution of the screen. This is made worse if you select a connected graph instead of a dotted one. I am enclosing a screen capture of the graph for the same function, drawn on a calculator with better resolution.

This clarification being given, it remains that you still have a problem since you cannot choose other styles. Do try to reset the RAM, and choose dotted graphs. If that does not work, maybe you should update the OS or reinstall it from education.ti.com.
I hope it solves your problem. If it does not, do not blame me, and remember that I tried my best.

Epson 9800 Prints black dotted vertical line

This is a workaround - I too need a definitive answer. Symptom: black dotted vertical line 1/2 to 3/4" from leftmost image edge. I have begun adding single vertical line to my prints .25" from the left edge of the paper to force the "dots" off my print - this seems to have the desired affect, but it does not answer the cause or provide a true remedy (it will save many of your prints while we wait for complete solution). dkh
