SOURCE: How to change blade on 10" Craftsman table saw?

you need to grab the blade with something.maybe some pliers(if you are not going to refurbish blade) and loosen the nut in the center of the blade. i think it is a left hand thread(cw to loosen) because of the rotation of the blade. if the nut is on the left when looking from the front it is probably left handed. make sure it's unplugged and wear leather gloves so you don't get cut. install in reverse...

Hi, am looking for the 2 spacers and the neut that hods the blade on to a 10 inch craftsman radial arm saw and was curious if I could purchase one thank you

contact craftsman manufacturer spares to see if they are available
one washer will have a slot across the back and is the driving washer for the blade
the front washer will be flat and is the clamping washer
most manufacturers use generic products here so check for washers from other 10 " saws ( appliance repair shops , junk yard shops etc)

How long is the saw blade on a 12inch band saw

The manual says that it will support blade widths from 1/8 inch to 1/2 inch. You can use 80" or 80 1/2" band saw blade. I got my band saw blade on sawblade.com . I like them .

How to change the blade on a craftsman scroll saw? The manual was been misplaced when we moved

You might be able to find the manual on the Sears site (this can be a frustrating search - but start with the model number). But even without the manual, this is pretty easy on most scroll saws. There is usually a plastic knob (about the size of a ketchup bottle lid) on top of the machine at the back. You loosen this knob a couple of turns (to the left) and the blade will become very loose. The blade is probably the "pin-end" type - it will have a little cylinder about a 1/4 inch long on each end of the blade. You can buy new blades at any home improvement or hardware store. Besides qualtiy, the main differences will be the length of the blade and the size of the teeth (expressed as TPI or Teeth Per Inch). You need more TPI for cutting harder and thinnner materials, less TPI for softer and thicker material. Put the new blade in like the old one was (teeth pointing down) and tighten the plastic knob. It's hard to be sure how tight is should be, since it doesn't suddenly tighten up. About a 1/4 turn past where is starts to get noticeably tighter is a reasonable place to start. If the blade pops off during use, it wasn't tight enough.

Scroll saw Model 572.247200 need manual or at least what saw blade it takes??????

According to the Sears web site, your sroll saw uses the #8030 blades, which have been replaced with #5088029. These are available from any Sears store or online at the following link, see item #31 or 31A, priced at $4.00

http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/getSubComp.pd?modelNumber=+572.247200+&productCategoryId=0744440&brandId=0247&modelName=CRAFTSMAN-15-INCH-MOTORIZED-SCROLL-SAW%2FSANDER&diagramPageId=00001&documentId=00033222&pop=flush

It would appear that the owners manual for your scroll saw has been discontinued and is no longer available (Sears #405015) But the line drawing and parts list may be of some value to you, should you need to do any repairs later on.

I hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!

How to install blade in very old model of craftsman scroll saw model 110.27500

I just picked up one of these saws at a yard sale. It looks like it takes a 5 inch pin end coping saw blade. If you tip the saw up you will see a piston under the table into which one end fits. There is a black spring steel receiver under the over arm that takes the other end. You can loosen the guide arm to facilitate installation. The guide is a simple brass knurled head screw with a slot in it. The motor is one of those magnetic vibratory types that is very loud when there is no blade installed, Probably scared the hell out of the seller ;-) My Gain for 5 bucks. This old craftsman stuff is bullet proof, albeit lacking elegance. This looks like a good little tool for cutting out little figures like you would use for decorative yard spinners.
