Most of Acer's laptops and netbooks have an integrated webcam, with its lens above the screen. A basic webcam program is included with the Windows operating system on Acer laptops and netbooks, so you don't have to download third-party tools to use your webcam.
If the webcam isn't working properly, you can use the Windows Device Manager to troubleshoot it.
Acer also makes webcam drivers available for download on its website if yours have been lost or become corrupted.

Step 1. Click "Start," choose "All Programs," click the "Acer Crystal Eye webcam" folder and then click "Acer Crystal Eye webcam." The webcam program opens.
If you see your face on the screen, your webcam is working.
Use the buttons beneath the image to take pictures or videos.
Proceed to Next Step if the webcam is not working.
Step 2. Click "Start" and choose "Control Panel."
Click "Hardware and Sound" in the window that appears.
Click "Device Manager" under the "Devices and Printers" heading.
Step 3. Expand the "Imaging devices" category in the Device Manager's list. Right-click "USB Camera" and choose "Enable" if the option is available in the drop-down menu.
Return to Step 1 and try the software again.
If "Enable" is not available, choose "Properties" and read the "Device Status" field. If the field indicates the device's drivers are not in order, or if you can't find the "USB Camera" entry in the list, proceed to Next Step .
Download and install the camera drivers for your particular Acer laptop or netbook model from the website
Repeat Steps 1 through 3 after installing the drivers.
rather doing a driver hunt which can take hours
Windows XP/Vista/7/8
It might take some time being a freeware driver solution
note: it will find all of your outdated drivers
this is a free driver solutions
This will automatically search for and find the correct driver
you will have to update every driver individually once you update you might be asked whether you
want to restart or make a system restore point click no to both of these then continue updating each driver free then restart once all of the drivers have been updated
Some webcams and programs require additional software, although that should be installed with the webcam if things are right.
But is does not harm to check if your Java, Flash and Quicktime software are installed and up to date.
But certainly check your DirectX software, since all video applications, including webcams, use DirectX for video processing.
Try downloading the latest DirectX version and install it (Windows XP: DirectX 9.0c Windows Vista: DirectX 10).
If you still have no webcam installed
Run the "Add a device"application, accessed by clicking on the "Start" button, opening the "Control Panel," and then double-clicking on "Add a device."
The "Add a device" window will open and Windows will search for devices connected to your system but not installed.
Click on the webcam name that shows in the search box and then click "Next."
Choose whether you want Windows to search for the webcam device driver using Windows Update over the Internet, or if you'd prefer to have the device manager search for the driver using a disc supplied by your laptop manufacturer.
Most drivers can be found on the system recovery disc included with your laptop, if you choose to add the driver from the provided disc.
Place a check in the box next to your choice and then click "Next" to continue.
Wait while Windows searches from the driver using Windows Update, if this was your choice.
An active Internet connection is required for Windows to successfully do this. Allow the computer to install the driver and then reboot the system for the webcam to become recognized by the system.
Otherwise, you can use the system recovery disc or a driver downloaded directly from your laptop manufacturer to install the driver without using the Windows Update search feature.
Open the CD/DVD-ROM drive and insert the system recovery disc, or place the driver downloaded from the manufacturer in an easily accessed file directory on your PC, such as on the desktop, or in your "My Documents" folder.
Choose the option "Install the software automatically (Recommended)" in the "Add a device" application, and press "Next" to begin searching for your webcam driver.
The hardware wizard will search the system recovery disc and install the driver automatically. Press "Finish" to close the wizard and then reboot the computer to allow recognition of the webcam.
Choose the option "Install the software manually" in order to browse to the driver location where you saved the driver and install it from there.
Use the opened file manager and locate the driver.
Click the "Next" button to install the driver, then reboot the computer to add webcam functionality.

You can buy and add a usb Webcam and attach it to the top of the screen of the laptop. A lot of people do this because the laptop camera has stopped working or is a poor quality camera. I would recommend buying a new webcam. You could try checking in the device manager under "Imaging Devices" Click on the arrow and open "Imaging Devices" To Access Device manager From Control Panel in Vista/W7
See this link: If it shows no Webcam at all then the Webcam is bad. If there is a yellow symbol next to your webcam, then the driver is not working. Your laptop uses a Windows Operating System Driver for the Webcam. For that you would have to go to a computer Tech. Again, I would recommend buying a new webcam. You'll be a lot happier with the results and you'll spend a lot less money. Webcams can run from $10 to over $100. Your budget will determine that. You get what you pay for. If you want decent video then spend around $40 to $50.

My inbuilt cam is not located and working

Pls go to Device Manager and expand Imaging Devices.
Check if your webcam is detected under Imaging Devices.
If it is not listed under Imaging Devices, Then check if there is any other category 'Other Devices'.
If you find the webcam under Other Devices, uninstall the webcam and restart, the computer.
If that doesnt work, then you can try a System Restore or else format the computer.
If you dont find the webcam anywhere in the Device Manager, then there is a hardware failure with the webcam.

Webcam is not work

Is it listed in Device Manager? Is it a Infernal or External? I looked at the specs for your laptop,Fujitsu AH531. The webcam software should be CyberLink YouCam, open the software, does it work in CyberLink? If not go to Device Manager> Imaging Devices to verify that the webcam is configured and working properly.

You need to update the driver for your laptop so that your webcam can function.

Goto system properties and click on imaging device. If the device is installed properly then you need to just install the webcam software. If you see a yellow question mark on your device then you need to install software driver for it to work.

Go to your control panel and click on Imaging device, right click on your webcam and click update driver software

This will update your driver and your webcam should work well again
