Question about Amana AEW3530DD Electric Single Oven

AOCS 3040WW convection oven

Error F1 comes on when I turn the oven on and has continuous beeping until I clear it twice, and then the oven works. I have checked all the wires, ground wires. I think it may be the switch in the door but I cannot find it.

F1 Error code for Amana indicates a failed electronic range control (ERC)... that's the main computer behind the keypad. Post back with the exact model number and I'll assist with part number and replacement procedures.

Both F1 and F5 are the code for a board failure; it would need to be replaced. What you could try is disconnect the oven for a few minutes and then turn the power back on. If that does not do the trick you would need a board

I had the oven on 350 for 45 min. baking potatoes and then the oven beeped twice and F1 showed up on the screen where it had said 350 so I turned the oven off and the time then showed on the screen. ...

The manual says error code "F1" means a problem occurred in the circuitry and suggests pressing "CLEAR" to reset it. If the problem persists, contact a repair guy.
See page 19: http://manuals.frigidaire.com/prodinfo_pdf/Springfield/316257104en.pdf
"This oven is equipped with a state of the art electronic oven control. Among its many features is a full time oven circuit diagnostics system. The control constantly monitors its internal circuitry as well as several crucial oven circuits to insure they are all operating correctly. If at any time one of these systems fails, the control will immediately stop operation, and beep continuously (flashing an error code of F1, F3 or F9 in the display window, if equipped). Electronic control has detected a fault condition. Press CLEAR to clear the display and stop the beeping. Reprogram oven. If fault recurs, record fault number, press CLEAR and contact an authorized servicer."

Hi

F1 error means that you have either a bad ERC (clock) or a bad touch pad. To check these please follow these simple instructions:
  1. Disconnect power to stove
  2. Gain access to the back of the clock (electronic range control or ERC).
  3. Unplug the touch pad ribbon connector from the ERC. This will be a flat wire approx. 1 1/2" to 2" wide.
  4. Make sure everything is clear and will not short out when power is turned back on.
  5. Turn power back on to stove.
  6. Watch for the F1 and listen for the beep.
  7. If you get the F1 and beep, replace the ERC.
  8. If after approx. 30 minutes you do NOT get the F1 and hear the beep, replace the touch pad...

F1 error/touch panel not working on GE Monogram Dual Oven

Usually, the F1 means that either the touch pad or the oven control (also called clock or ERC) is defective and needs to be replaced. If this fault code cannot be canceled, replace the oven control (also called clock or ERC), touch pad, or both.

I recommend a service call for this repair.

F1 error on SS Amana Convection wall oven

The control panel has a design problem, and it gets dirty and worn over time. I have replaced mine once, and it happened again less than 2 years later. I took the panel out, and inspected it. I found a web solution that said to shim the panel out away from the housing slightly because it rubs on the metal housing around it and damages the control board contacts. I could see little scratch marks on the plastic skin around the edge of the button area, so that made sense. I tried it, and it still did not work.....panel was still beeping. Mine seemed to be the timer control buttons that were going on and off. So, I took it out again, and actually peeled the control surface off of the control board. No going back now, I thought. I got it off and looked at the control panel. It looked fine, but there was a lot of gunk and wear marks around the edge of the plastic button area. I cleaned it up with alcohol swabs, and put the cover back on the board. It was still sticky enough to go back on. I reinstalled it, and "bingo" no more problem. It has been fine for 3 months now. Yahooo!

Frigidaire self cleaning convection range

Error code F1

1. Shorted keypad.
2. Control's internal checksum may have become corrupted.
3. Control has sensed a potential runaway oven condition. Control
may have shorted relay, RTD sensor probe may have gone bad.
1. Disconnect power, wait 30 seconds and reapply power. If fault returns
upon power-up, replace EOC.
2. Check RTD sensor probe and replace if necessary. If oven is
overheating, disconnect power. If oven continues to overheat when
the power is reapplied, replace EOC. Severe overheating may require
the entire oven to be replaced, should damage be extensive.
3. Replace EOC.
Check resistance at room temperature, if less than 500 ohms, replace
Temperature (°F) Resistance (ohms)
32 ± 1.9 1000 ± 4.0
75 ± 2.5 1091 ± 5.3
250 ± 4.4 1453 ± 8.9
350 ± 5.4 1654 ± 10.8
450 ± 6.9 1852 ± 13.5
550 ± 8.2 2047 ± 15.8
650 ± 9.6 2237 ± 18.5
900 ± 13.6 2697 ± 24.4
Hope it helps please let me know

This happened just after the warranty went off, earlier this year, and the repair place ordered a new circuit panel. By chance, I turned the power back on before they came to replace the panel, it had 'self corrected. It was fine for several months, now is beeping again. Anyone have a fix? Thanks. 3. Solutions (1) F1 code and continuous beeping. This is a common problem with that type of Amana control. The control panel has a design problem I think, and it gets dirty and worn over time. I have replaced mine once, and it happened again less than 2 years later. I took the control panel out, and inspected it. I found a web solution, that said to shim the control panel out away from the housing slightly because it rubs on the metal around the opening and damages the control board contacts. Mine seemed to be the timer control that was going on and off, and then eventually an F1 error. So, I took the panel out again, and actually peeled the control surface off of the control board. No going back now, I thought. I got it off....it is really sticky.......and looked at the control panel itself . It looked fine, but there was a lot of gunk and wear marks around the edge of the plastic button area. I cleaned it up with alcohol swabs, and checked to make sure none of the printed circuit paths had any wear or damage, and then put the cover back on the board. It was still sticky enough to go back on, and stay in place. I reinstalled it, and "bingo" no more problem. It has been fine for 3 months now. Yahooo! The pic below is just an example pic from the internet. My model is slighty different, but the panel looks basically the same.
