Trouble opening legs of my manfrotto tripod

Manfrotto have great warranties. If it is new, send it to Manfrotto to repair/replace the parts and make it whole again. If parts are worn it will be hard to tell you how to fix it without pictures, or know which model tripod you have.

Leg stuck on Manfrotto 732CY tripod

Other than the leg locks themselves, sometimes Manfrotto expands the last portion of the leg tube that slides into the leg tube above it. If you need some spare parts you can find them here.

Manfrotto 685B locking problem

I had the same problem with the Manfrotto 685B, and it was due to the grease from the middle section leaking into its locking mechanism. I fixed the problem by: 1. Detach the middle from the bottom section by twisting the metal hub between them counterclockwise. 2. Wipe the grease off from the middle section's locking mechanism, especially from the three gray protrusions. 3. Use a bit of dish detergent to degrease the inside shaft of the bottom section. 4. Dry thoroughly. 5. Reassemble the section back, pressing the monopod release lever to facilitate the insertion. Reclose the metal hub. Ha! Fixed!!1!1!!eleven1!!

Broken leg clip on Manfrotto Modo 785B tripod the head is non-removable on this model and I don't want to have to replace whole tripod so is there somewhere I can buy a new leg clip or get it...

Yes you can. But I saw that your Manfrotto is possible to buy for 50 Euro.
Anyway the part you need is the full leg called CODE:
R785,203B
you can see the datasheet on the spare part site of Manfrotto:

How do I set the lock on my samsonite sky wheeler zipper spinner. thanks.

There are some brands of tripods that are made for the retailer and the name is licensed, so the name brand does not support or stock repair parts. Especially if the tripod is an inexpensive one. Because of the model and make of you tripod, I would recommend you throw it out and buy another one. In my opinion Slik and Manfrotto are two very good ones. Slik for the lesser expensive and Manfrotto for the more durable, expensive, parts are almost always available unless is it really old tripod. Find some Manfrotto tripods at: www.BogenTripodParts.com

I have a Manfrotto 058 tripod. One leg wont hold weight & retracts under load. This model uses a quick release lever at the top of the leg to control the telescopic height of each leg. How can I repair...

If you notice, the legs locks are attached to bothe the upper part of the leg and the sloghtly smaller diameter lower. Take a socket (8mm I believe) and tighten the lower 2 nuts to the bottom of the leg lock.

Hi,I have aManfrotto 458B and on one of the legs the quick release mechaniism isnt releasing have used lubbrication oil but as yet this does not seem to be working.

Because of the way the locking mechanism works inside the tripod I would recommend that you send the tripod back to Manfrotto / Bogen for repair. None of the parts inside the legs should be oiled, as the lubrication from the factory is enough. The parts not working is a symptom of a part being damaged or defective.
