How do i increase the force of the hammer hitting the daisy wheel?

Code "Q" will increase the impression the space lights indicate i, 2 or three. a little WD 40 on the print solenoid may help. But I believe tour loss of impression is a cracked plastic print solenoid cap. We sell them for 20.00 including shipping and instructions.

How do I make key srrike harder on an IBM Wheelwriter 6? The print is to light on carboned forms.

If it prints well on 20# bond and the carbons the problem may well be the paper the forms is printed on. Otherwise the print solenoid cap may be cracked. You can try a Lexmark Brand #1380999 for hard to image paper. There are some circular plastic shims on the front side of the solenoid, remove one and it will print darker. If you need the solenoid cap we bsell them with instructions and shipping for 20.00.

Hello: I have a IBM Wheelwriter 50 Series II. Today, I was priting a letter in storage of about ten pages, and about half way thru the print turned lighter, parts of letters didn't print at all, and then...

The print solenoid is either gummy or the plastic cap on it is cracked. First try spraying some WD40 on the back side of the solenoid. It is located below the ribbon just inside of the left printer side frame round about 1.5" in diameter. if the dosen't work
We sell a print solenoid cap with shipping and instructions for 20.00.

Only top half of characters are printing on my IBM wheelwriter3. Have I accidentally hit/moved some part. If so, how to correct.

Press down firmly on both ends of the platen (black rubber roll) it should snap into place. If that dosen't work the plastic cap on the print solenoid is probably cracked.

We sell them for 20.00 includes instructions and shipping.

yes it was true that the cap was broken. temporarily, i just cut a piece of plastic from a spoon, same thickness as the cap then place it between the plunger and the solenoid. and now my wheelwriter is typing great! all letters are clear and much black in color. thanks for pointing where the cap was place. easy to find it.

Typewriter turns on keys work ,new ribbin, but when you hit the key no type shows on the paper

The problem is probably either a broken plastic cap on the print solenoid or a gummy solenoid. the sol. is round and just unside the L. peinter side frame. Try a little WW40 on the front and rear ends of the solenoid if it doden't work the cap is probably cracked. They are available but a little tricky to install.

Hope this helps
