Question about GE AHG50LB / AHG50LD Dehumidifier
My GE dehumidifier will run for a few hours, and then go into P1 error code, will defrost for 30-60 minutes, then work again for a few hours, then go back into P1. We have never had this problem until this year. We took the filter out and cleaned it, wasn't bad at all. Any thoughts?

a dehumidifier can only remove water from the air that is humid. have you checked the humidity of the room ti see if it is high or low?
In the winter the average room air is sometimes so dry that one have to add water with a humidifier.
did you check if this is not the case?
