My wintair window unit stopped blowing. It turns on and cold air is slowly seeping out of it but it's not blowing like it used to. It's only 1 or 2 years old. Is this something I can easily fix?

You would need to check he blower motor capacitor and speeds. Try turning on just the fan to see if it blows faster and more air.than when the compressor is on.
Worst case scenario, your fan motor is failing and needs to be replaced

I cannot get my wintair room air conditioner to stay on! It keeps cutting on and off, going from fan to air conditioning. Need help!!

It sounds like your air conditioner is doing what it is supposed to do. The compressor kicking in and out is an energy saving method of using the ac. When the thermostat (ball attached to evaporator coil) registers the set temperature the compressor kicks off.

How do I replace the headlight bulb on a 2000 Ford Escort ZX2?

² Coupe
² Sedan/wagon
2. Open the hood and disconnect the headlamp wiring socket from the
in-line connector. This will make it easier to change the bulb.
3. Remove the protective dust shield
from the housing by turning the
dust shield counterclockwise (when
viewed from the rear).
4. Release clip and disconnect the electrical connector from the bulb.
5. Remove the bulb retaining ring by
rotating it counterclockwise.
6. Without turning, remove the old
bulb from the lamp assembly by
pulling it straight back out of the
lamp assembly and replace.
7. Install the new bulb in lamp assembly by pushing straight in with the
bulb’s plastic base facing upward. Turn the bulb slightly to align the
grooves in the plastic base with the tabs in the lamp assembly.
8. Install the bulb retaining ring over the plastic base and lock the ring
by rotating it clockwise until it snaps into place.
9. Connect the electrical connector into the plastic base until it “snaps”.
10. Install the protective dust shield and lock the shield by rotating it
clockwise until it locks into position.
11. Connect the headlamp wiring socket to the in-line connector.
12. Turn the headlamps on and make sure they work properly. If the
headlamp was correctly aligned before you changed the bulb, you should
not need to align it again.

Kenmore Humidifier not operating?

Turn the unit off, lift the fan assembly off the base, and push the connector together that goes to the float switch on the bottom of the fan motor. If you hold the switch in with your finger (careful not to get into the fan blades) and turn the unit on, the F indication should go away. F (as in Fill), apparently, means the base has no water. The plastic tube that sticks up out of the base floats on the water and pushes the switch. Put it back together, it should work!

How do I change the heater fan speed control in a Jeep Liberty (2006)? Speeds 1-2 and 3 don't work, only 4 does.

On the back of the control panel there is a plastic connector that plugs into the fan speed control. You can unplug it and use a meter to find incoming (hotwire) take a jumper or a 6 inch peice of wire and insert it into the spade where the hot wire is wired to. Take the other end of the wire and insert it into the 1st spade in the plastic connector next to the hot wire spade this will let you know that the fan will run at the selected speed. Then pull the test wire out and plug it into the next spade and so on and so on. I am sure your fan will respond step by step , fan speed 1 then 2 and then 3. After you make this test you will know that your fan is ok. You will just have to replace the plastic connector with new spades in it. You should see some evidence of over heating on the old connector. It may be that you only need to unsnap the connector and then reconnet it and it will probably work fine. It has proberly just become partially unpluged. All the other info that I gave you early on was just to trouble shoot it. mike
