Go to the menu or use the control from monitor and adjust the brigtness ,etc
Otherwise you must tight the ribbon cable, and clean it for dirty, corrosion.
God bless you

Resistance settings not working on fitnex r70 magnetic resistance exercise bike

If this is a new bike that may be the way it is. If it worked differently in the past, you may be looking at a busted tension motor or faulty brake.

More than likely your going to need a console...If you checked all the power from the console down to the resistance motor and that's good then console is bad.

No change in resistance

IF you have the one i have, there is a knob with two connected arrows and a plus and minus sign. turn toward the plus, more resistance, turn toward the minus, less resistance.

Need to know size of ac power cord to get ie. volts and mA for a proform gl 125 recombent bike

hello. Your proform can be operated on electric or with 4 D cell batteries. If you do not have the power supply cord that comes with this unit you must order one from the company. The information on how to order one from the company is at the end of the manual. Here is the manual:

Tension

The new and improved exercise bikes have what is called magnetic resistance. This is where your resitance is created by a magnet and some sort of power source such as batteries or your bike being plugged into a wall outlet. If you are using batteries replace them. I found that with my elyptical exerciser new batteries made a world of difference in the resistance settings. Make sure the batteries are strong ones. If changing the batteries doesn't help then there may be another problem. This could be the computer or a magnetic part. These parts are usually replaceable through the manufacturer. Just check your user manual and I am sure you can get it replaced. I hope this has been helpful.
