If there is sound coming from the headphone jack you can plug self-powered speakers into that. Otherwise, you may need to buy an external sound dongle, that installs into the usb port.

HERE is a link to a list of what I am referring to.

This could be something easy like an update to your sound board or something major like the speaker I would find out what sound card your laptop has and go to that site to see if there is a update this would be the fastest and cheapest way

My LG LHB975 Theather system subwoofer keeps going on n off when playing music flashing blue slowly

marvinpogno,

Sounds like you having an interference issue. Firstestablish a good connection, then diagnose why the signal is getting lost. You write that the problem occurs whenplaying music, which makes it sounds like everything is fine when playinganything but music.

First establish the connections; press and hold the stop button then press themute button on the remote. Check to make sure all units are operatingwith something other than music. Now to diagnose the issue; what you are using to play themusic most likely is causing an interference that is breaking the wirelesslink. Try something else to produce themusic from, ipod, mp3 player, etc. Don't forget about other things that could cause interference. Microwave ovens, wireless phones, wirelesscomputer router, etc. Hope this helps. Please rate the answer if I was able to help, thanks. -Chris

Sound card is not working in toshiba satellite 1110

Just go to this page, you should be able to see the drivers you need...by searching for the exact model you want. If you had put the Exact name of your laptop there (and not just Toshiba), I would have given you the direct link, but at the same time, its very easy when you get to this page, you just search for any Toshiba Driver you want.
Hope It helps.
Goodluck!

Sound card

That was a dodgy job,
the licence for windows XP installed by this guy is not genuine and can get you in troubles with Windows updates.
If you have a valid Windows XP licence (check the sticker at the base of your laptop), you should reinstall XP home using the licence number on the sticker.
If you do not have a licence, well I cannot talk here...

Regarding the sound, that is not a big problem, you just need to download and reinstall the drivers for your laptop.

Post a new question on Fixya, giving details on your laptop make and model, you will get the link to download for drivers.

I will be offline for the following few hours.

Don't forget to rate the solution appropriately.

Thanks

ACER 5720 WIRELESS CONNECTION PROBLEMS

I have an Acer 5420 which had a persistent disconnection problem after startup, with either the wireless or LAN connection. It appears that the Microsoft network application would startup and make the connection, but seconds later the Acer Enet Management application would start, and its first act would be to disconnect from the Internet. Since the Microsoft network application provides every feature that I want, I choose to disable the Acer Enet Management.
  1. Following up on a hint from on of the posts, I went to Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> Command Prompt.
  2. At the command prompt window, I typed msconfig
  3. About a minute later (after Vista confirmed that it was OK to run this program, the System Configuration window comes up, where I selected the "services" tab
  4. Scrolling down the numerous services, I found "eNet service" and clicked the check mark to disable the service. Hit apply and OK, and restarted my laptop.
  5. The problem went away after that.
