Test this steps and fix it. God bless you

  1. Check if the TV and Amplifier (if connected) is turned on and set correctly.
  2. Check if the TV, DVD player and Amplifier are connected properly.
  3. Make sure the TV, DVD player and Amplifier volume are not set to Mute.
  4. There will be no sound output during Reverse Play / Pause / Step / Slow / Search.
  5. If the DTS soundtrack is enabled in the DVD Disc Menu, but you are using Stereo Analog audio, the sound will not work. Try switching the soundtrack to Dolby 5.1 or PCM mode in the Disc Menu.

SOURCE: I changed tv's and everything

I came across your post, autumlite; that's interesting! I have a few steps for you to follow to get that taken care of so you can start enjoying the convenience:

Address To Other Equipment Using Power Scan

  • Remote: All Remotes (except Basic)
    1. With the desired equipment on, press and hold the correct Mode button until all mode button backlights illuminate, then release.
    2. Press and release the Power button. AUX Mode: Before pressing and releasing the Power button
      • Press 0 for a TV
      • Press 1 for a VCR/DVD
      • Press 2 for any other device
      Then Press STAR (*)
    3. Press the Up button once a second while pointing the remote at the desired equipment. Note: If the code for the equipment comes up, the equipment will power off.
    4. Press the POUND (#) button. Note: If the code entered is valid for the remote, the mode light flashes three times.
Hope that helps and let me know if you need any further assistance!

SOURCE: remote to tv doesn't work

Hello
Check the remote first for its infrared emission. If it is OK, the infrared sensor inside your tV is faulty. It should be replaced with same type and number. It can be located just behind the infrared window at the front panel of your Tv. You ahve to open your TV ot access it. It will have three solder terminals, and will look somehat brownish black in colour. Will look like this.

My sony bravia klv40ex600 won't turn on,the light indicator for power, volume and channel is on, the screen is still black

Hi, have you tried pressing the TV button that is under the On/Off button on top right hand side of remote control? Some times its possible to accidently press the DVD or VCR controls and this by-passes the TV as a remote?
Another cause can be a poor or low battery in the remote itself. If you have no luck let me know & we can try some more things, however, I have heard that The On/Off Switch on the TV can be a problem. Goodluck, Jon..

Apart from the on-off button none of the panel or remote controls are working on my Toshiba 20wl56b t.v

Hello,

I think problem is from the control board. The board works with the TV buttons and that's where the remote sensor is. If the board is defective or dead, the buttons won't work and the remote won't work as well.

I hope the above is clear.

Good luck.

Hi I am unable to program my COMCAST remote to control my DAV-HDX275. I have tried all codes suggested by comcast in vain. Help please

These directions also work for Sony DAV-IS10

It seems like most (maybe all) Sony HTIB do not work with the Comcast Custom Remote. I've found a work around that fixes the volume control and power button though. Hope it helpsicon1.png you all. I have a DAVHDX275 but I think this will work for most Sony HTIB systems.

What you need to do is steal some codes from a like product and then hardcode in the changesicon1.png you need to the comcast remote. Set your AUX to 21232 (a sony code for TV/VCRs).

Then do the following:

1. While still on AUX, press and hold SETUP again until the remote blinks twice
2. Type 994
3. Press and release SETUP
4. Type 32975
5. Press and release VOL+
The remote should blink twice. That should reprogram the VOL+ to work with your Sony HT device. For each of the following function codes, follow the same steps and use the codes listed below:
Vol+ = 32975
Vol- = 31951
Powericon1.png = 32719
Good luck. Let me know if it works.

My volume up on the Harmony 880 won't work. I've heard that one person did take it apart to clean the contacts, but that didn't solve the issue. Any suggestions? I don't even care if I...

If the buttons used to work then yeah it sounds like a hardware issue. You can go ahead and take the remote apart, but I don't think you will be able to fix it, unless you are good at soldering. Cleaning the contacts alone won't help. This same thing happened to the most used buttons on my Harmony One, and I just assigned the commands to the screen, so I could continue using the remote without those buttons.
If you want to try assigning the buttons to the screen, the steps in this article by Logitech will help:
http://logitech-en-amr.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/9766/kw/buttons
I hope this helps.

I got a Sony CMT-NEZ30 from a friend and I don't

Get the manual , which a simple search engine query for "sony CMT-NEZ30 remote" would have led immediately to...

http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/model-documents.pl?mdl=CMTNEZ30

As far as remote failures go...

Read this procedure to possibly fix the remote:
http://remotes.com/remotes/servlet/rs?a=Display&contents=help_deadremote&uuid=A12963989782821
They also sell replacement remotes.

Zoom in on the picture of the original remote provided on the site (or look at your own) and get the actual remote model number.

or check eBay: search for "(model of the device or the remote) remotes", check the 'include description' box. Usually cheaper than the vendors.

Where do I find codes for Protron DVD recorder PD-DVR 100 for a Dish Network remote control

I hope that you have found the codes by now, but if not, here are the codes we have, and also the steps to program that remote.

1. Hold down the clear AUX button until all lights light up at the top of the remote
2. Punch in a 3 digit code (provided below)
3. Press the # (POUND) button
4. Try powering the DVD on/off, and the volume. If one or more of these functions do not work, start over from step 1 with a different code

685 is the only code we have for this brand.
